Good Morning Judy, Wheeew after all that you knew what it was after all! Harry eliminated the osprey and the eagle and finally came to the conclusion it was a short tailed hawk and it lives in Florida. He is giving me a good long lesson on the characteristics of the osprey, the eagle and the hawk. See what you started my friend! He wanted me to tell you all of this but I am giving you the Reader's Digest version. As for me I think they are magnificent additions to an already amazing album! Hugs Leslie

Hi again Judy; I see that you had added some to this album,so I just had to come and take a peek. I am simply amazed at how many birds you have down there in Florida. Looks like a good enough reason to wash your car frequently. LOL! The story of the birds hatching was an amazing thing. Here I have lived this long and never seen anything like that up close. Such a special treat for your grandson. Best Wishes and Hugs, Marjie

Hi Judy; What a wonderful album. At first I thought #3, #4, #84, but then the Finches and their story, then the sparrows and imagine all that right outside your kitchen window. Then the Pelicans, the Egrets and the Blue Herons. Wow! A fabulous collection. I just put out a birdbath, but I can see that I will need to get some birdhouses up if I am going to get any action. Thank you for sharing this great album. It is fabulous! Hugs from Pacific Northwest, Marjie

I missed this album when it was featured (probably due to long days at the office), but I'm glad I found it now! Congrats! I really enjoyed the variety of birds and stages of life, from egg to parent. I'm also jealous of all your bluebirds -- they're a rare sight here in the DC 'burbs. Thanks for the close-ups! I'll keep coming back to look through more of your albums. -- SJA in Virginia

Good day Judy, So nice of you to stop in and leave a sweet message in my feature album, and then today I had just come in from trying to Photo my red roses Again, and I have a message from you on the very subject.A few messages down from mine in the Webshots blog Don does give some very good tips for us.He also explains shooting in the RAW. I have been trying what he has said, along with what another friend of mine has been teaching me. My roses are just starting to come out more the way I want them to. I will write you an Email and we can talk about it. Also I said lady bird ...for a lady bug, because a friend I know she calls them ladybirds,, she is from the UK. Different countrys call them different things I guess. ((Hug)) Take care, and God bless. Marilyn :):)

Hi Judy, I guess that getting that message from you means that you're up and about again! No, I am not in CA. I use that other website for putting albums in that I can download for printing into a Webshots photo book. I am trying to get one together for my Mom for Mother's Day. We'll see if I get it done, or not. I'm leaving for Rocky Mtn NP in a few minutes, so I'll probably get side-tracked with new pictures when I get back!! Hope you're feeling as good as new!! Take care, Lynn

Hi Again! I Felt Quite Honored That You Couldn't Tell Where I Did My Handy-work! Most Of It Was Done In The Shots Of The Dove On The Railing. She Had Left A Trail... I Live In Southeastern Pennsylvania, About Twenty Minutes From Delaware. Purple Martins Love Flying Insects, And We Sure Had Plenty Of Them Last Year! So They Are A Desirable Bird To Have On Your Property. It Was So Nice Hearing From You Again. P.S. Dear Judy, thankyou for the kind words you wrote in Waddington Album. They have a big day today, and the weather is beautiful. There will be thousands there today. But the Village is that small, there is no where to park, and you have to walk for miles. Pity, but may be another year. Lot's of Love and Hugs. Ray and Eileen.

Dear Judy, Love your shots and the captions! I recently found something that's very helpful to me. It's American Greetings Create A Card Disc. It comes with the best editing program. The one I find most helpful is called "fix a flaw". Besides making myself look like I've had a face-lift, you can also use the 'Repair Tool". You're able to eliminate the "do-do's" in the bird shots or anything else that's undesirable. It works great! Check out my "Feathered Subjects"...Do-Do Free! A New Friend Barb

I have been feeding birds for quite some years now and hope to get some good shots of them this year. I hope you are keeping well. Take care. Love Chesca. #####

Hi Judy, what a wonderful gift this album is! I love bird watching - but in the city there is no much opportunity for it. This is why I enjoyed your album so much! I liked #22, then the finches and and... all the adorable photos in this album. Thank you for visiting my album "Easter Markets in Vienna" and for your nice comment. Yes, in the surroundings of Vienna there are many romantic cellars, some of them serving as taverns where you can drink wine and enjoy traditional food and music and singing! I am pleased that you have good memories on it! Warm wishes from Vienna, Vera

How fantastic that you have bluebirds. I would very much love to have them for company, but we have House Wrens and they can't tolerate Blue Birds-in fact I read where they attack them. I love your photos of the Hawk and the Herons. Great photography. Wonderful that your album was featured. Congrats.

Hi Judy! I stopped by the other day when you were being featured, but things have been busy here, too, and I didn't have a chance to drop a note. (Then I forgot!!!...until now!) Congratulations, this was a well-deserved feature! I loved this album the first time I saw it!! Our robins have returned, too, and I've heard that the blue birds are here, but I haven't seen one yet. I've put up a few bird houses to get ready though! As for Cherry Creek State Park...it's getting BUSY out there! I don't have the place all to myself anymore! In fact, I'm starting to get a little nervous driving around with all the bicyclists competing for the road space! Maybe I'll have to start driving by on that Dam Road & take my pictures from there!!! Thanks for stopping by! Talk to you soon, Lynn

Hi Judy, Congratulations on your great flighty featured album. I’ve told you before how much I love your Eastern Bluebirds, but I certainly envy you your Sandhill Cranes. I have heard many times that there is quite a large colony here in Florida, but I have only seen the captive ones in Tampa’s Lowry Zoo. Have a nice time with your visitors and I hope they get to enjoy some of the truly spectacular weather we have been having this spring. Greetings from down state, Paul. P.S. We’re leaving for Washington, D.C. this Saturday. I’ll drop you a line when we get back.

Webshots and its wonderful participants/members/cont ributors are still going to be the end of me!! Starting with a pair of blue-birds only to realise 'tis a 'forgery'/cloning of 1 in2 two!; hitting upon "Female rule" and assuming 'tis her looking into the mirror!;loving the whole kinckle & caboodle in a straight and narrow pic.!!; expecting the Mannatee to surface completely and, last but not least,"Where's the Soap" - so realistic u can even see the bubbles which are used in cartoons to indicate what is being said! Phenomenal and magnifique. I almost forgot "Can u count the Robins?"! Here in Johannesburg they confiscate our properties - only one of them at a time!! ('Cape Robin' here!) I'm bonkers about L.Houses world-wide and crazy about 2-legged birds now that I am 76!!! Bless you, desertbanker@telkomsa.net Recognised so many of the names of those throwing rose-petals at the feet of a Master (Can't use Mistress!!!)!!!!!!!!!!

This is such a well deserved honour, my friend, it couldn't have happened to anyone worthier. I see that someone mentioned a web-cam for cranes below. There's one for an eagle nest on Hornby Island, BC at hancockhouse.com - 2 eggs that should hatch about the 26th. I'm sure you'll be spending the day writing to all of your GB entries, whew. Im visiting by Brother and we are popping out somewhere so hopefully it won't rain. I just had to look at some more of the photos in this lovely album as I do love birds - as you will know from my latest efforts - and I just love #4 Bluebird at Birdhouse. Such a wonderful shot. Also #5 and #11 of the Sandhill Crane are superb. I ooohed and arrhed over the baby finches. Such cuties! You must be very proud to have got such wonderful close ups of them. Great stuff Judy! Glad you like my Cotswold Album. It did take my mind of things for a while. Take care now, have a good week/wk end and I will pay a visit again soon. Love Chesca #####

Must have been fun watching them! The pictures of the tree full of robins was amazing. Mr Yellow Boots was a good shot and good name for it. I loved seeing the hatching of the finches. And lastly, I can see why you liked my pictures of the lady bug car in my garden show album. It seems that you own one. :) Nice album, thanks for sharing it. Hugs, Cynthia

G'day Judy and what a wonder you are - the great captions that accompanied your Florida Birds onto the pages were brilliant (specially the 4 and 20 blackbirds, and 'where's the soap' that set me really laughing). The beautiful lines of the heron on the first page really touched me as well. Thanks so much for sharing yet another great collection. I enjoyed chatting to one of your namesakes in the garden the other day - she said to pass her regards to you but make sure it was with an Aussie accent! lol Thank you too for your much appreciated message in my Aussie Rainforests GB too. Hi Judy, This is such a wonderful album...I love it!!! You must have a number of birdhouses around your yard. I've put a few up here & can't wait to see what happens as they fill up! The blue birds and the robins are fabulous, as are all the rest! As for the coyote, I was uploading pictures as I watched the story on the news last night! I have more pics in the newest CO album & even more that I didn't upload. Lots of activity after our snow! You're right, I'm either going to have start a new "Favorites" album, or I'll just start deleting some of the older pics from the current one! Thanks for staying in touch! Keep adding to this wonderful album!!! Hugs from Colorado, Lynn

The little bluebird on the truck window (#31) is a sweetheart of a photo and really got a kick out of the 'who's on 1st' series of pics! So funny to imagine what they MUST be doing or thinking! Thank you for your comments and helpful suggestions in my Ft DeSota guestbook. Unfortunately, I know little to nothing about editing yet, but am sure it would improve some of my shots, I have been way too nonchalant about learning. ouch. ...smile.. Your documentary on the baby birds was fabulous. I love all the birds, and water fowl. Photo number 3 and 4 that is a Sandhill Crane, not the blue heron. We have both here. I Love Vancouver Island, but I live on the Mainland, in the suburbs of Vancouver. If you have a chance come to visit this beautiful place. Hello Judy. How ever did I miss this FANTASTIC album. WOW!! Another worthy feature, there's no doubt about that. 'Standing Tall Heron' is a gorgeous shot. Herons are not however our favourite birds as they've come into our garden and taken fish from our ponds. Your Bluebirds in flight #19 and #25 are simply amazing. Finally, those photos showing us a month in the life of two purple finches, they're awesome too. Your 'Florida Birds' are SO very beautiful. BRAVO Judy. Much love, Jayne xx ps I've given in and posted the begining's of a Spring album.

Hi Judy and greetings from Kentucky. I want to thank you so much for your guestbook entry. On the photos of the Amish, I seen a Amish lady at a store, and when she came out to get in her buggy, the horse threw a fit, so you see things that the camera doesn't catch. I enjoyed your blue bird photos. They sure are pretty little birds. Birds of all kinds are pretty to photograph. It is nice to see nature, birds building a nest, young ones hatching, then trying to fly. Thanks Judy for stoping by. Here is wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season. Hi Judy, Very nice! But I can't believe you just snapped one of that hawk. It's a beauty! From now on you simply have to step out of the house each morning camera in hand and ready to rumba! Given this hawk (I can't decipher what kind it is) and the one I shot there just a few days ago, Brooksville is becoming Hawk Central. This time of the year many migrate south to Florida or through Florida to further south. Greetings from your friend down-state, Paul. Thanks for your earlier words on my Illusions (Great Egrets) album. I was very lucky with the lighting that day.

Hi Judy! This is another gorgeous album. I always enjoyed the beautiful variety of birds in Florida. Thanks for the message in the Holiday album. Yes, it looks like I've had lots of features. I've been doing Webshots since 2001 as photoop23, sharonmyphotos and my husband was rmr2u. Last year around this time I was thinking about letting my Premium Membership expire on sharonmyphotos and so I deleted several old albums that had never been featured. Then I changed my mind after I did all that housekeeping with the albums and kept the membership. :-)) Thanks for getting back to me. Sharon/MO

Hi Judy, I love the bluebirds! I had never seen them before. They are really beautiful. By the way, after seeing the pictures of your car (a VW bug, I believe), I understand the tie in with ladybug. Cute! Off I go now to look for those murals. Greetings from Cape Coral, Paul. P.S. A couple of pieces of info - those egrets with the yellow feet are Snowy Egrets and the "egrets" on your grass with the orange curved beak are white ibises. Oh, by the way you may want to take a look at my "Birds of Florida 2" images # 12-14. They're not the best one's I've ever taken, but they are the product of our trip through Brooksville.

Hi Judy. I love all of these water birds, the egrets, cranes and herons. I like to watch them tippy toeing through the water. Your series on the finches is very good. Aren't they ugly little buggers until the feathers grow?! Thanks for sharing and I'll catch you later. Hugs Al... PS. Would you like to put some photos in my "Thankyou album??" If you would, I'll tell you what I need.

I see you found a solution to getting close-up during feeding. Way to go. Isn't it amazing how quickly they get feathers and figure out what to do with them. Keep watching for a second brood!! Gary
