  • Smashing photographs,terrific scenery,lucky you!Visited Key West only for the day,was not long enough.Took the catamaran out of Ft.Myers.Picked shells on Sanibel/Captiva Island.At that time I only had an Instamatic camera.   • Certainly the beaches do not compare to other destination. They tend to be private so long walks in the sand are out. We did not snorkel but we were told by others that it is amazing especially around the wilderness keys (Big Pine Key was one mentioned). The public beaches on the southeast side are good and vacant for sunning but take a picnic basket.

  • Nice. I've always been under the impression that there were no beaches in Key West. Your photos of the beach outside Dewey House put that to rest. How was the snorkeling there? Ken
