Hi Luc...This album is great. I love all the old houses and the way they have preserved them. The old furnishings look really good in them. I love the store and the church and the old school house too. This album is very interesting and a great place to visit. There are also many outside things that are so nice to see. If you have a chance please stop by and see my new album Valentine and Romance. hugs, Barbara

Hello Luc!Just had to pop back in for another look! Also thanks for visiting my"Best Friends"album .Luc if you loved the look of our Simba you would adore him in the fur!!!!he is the greatest character you could ever meet!If he doesn't like what we give him to eat he leaps up the pantry shelves and knocks down the tin with the colour label that he loves! You should hear the crashing that goes on sometimes -it would wake the dead !In springtime when the little rabbits are appearing he goes hunting over the fields each morning -catches a rabbit carries it home and drops it in front of Mikey Jenni's border collie for him to have for breakfast!Luc I'm not telling porkies he does this everyday!!!If we go out he sits on the top of the gate (I did have a photo of him on webshots once like this )and waits our return. We have had many pets put he would have the most hilarious character of any -he is also soooo devoted in fact both he and Sassey follow me around in the garden talking and helping always.Very VERY beautiful cats, they are Birman,Sacred Cats of the Inner Temple and were both gifts to John and I from our sons.We are very blessed to have such beautiful sons and such beautiful cats!Best wishes to you from New Zealand -Lynne

Hi Luc! Your albums are always so educational besides being top quality photography. Thanks so much for the journeys. I'm sorry to be so late in answering your question about the cameras we use. Bob and I usually use a Minolta DiMAGE7i Digital and an Olympus C-730 Ultra-Zoom. Sometimes I go back to my first digital, which is a Casio QV-3000EX, because I like the color of the pics much better with it, but it's getting pretty old. Then I still love my 35mm Minolta XTsi SLR with 500mm zoom lens for photos at the zoo. I don't have to climb in the cages with the animals so much with that lens. :-)))) It is also good to capture photos right through the bars of the cages without being able to detect the bars if one has enough available light. I keep wanting to get a new digital camera, but Bob is dragging his feet and we've been having lots of fun with the ones we have and they are very lightweight and easy to lug around on hikes. Again sorry to be so late in answering your guestbook entry; we've had quite a few relatives in and out since the holidays and more are coming in next weekend. Hope you are doing well and keeping warm. Have a great Monday! Sharon

Hi there, Luc! How are you at the beginning of this year? My friends in Canada write about lots of snow and -30 degreesC!!! We just have a little bit of friendly cute snowflakes dancing in the air today! I took the trip around the British Heritage Village with you. Very interesting, very well preserved and giving rise to lots of respect for those people who lived under such conditions! As photos, I liked: the Campbell Barn/Loyalist Encampment/Small Bridge in the Woods /The Gallon Store/Postoffice. It's amazing to notice how much the design of some private houses in nowadays Japan resemble the British cottages of lore!!! Please, come visit our new albums from Bali. We went there for Christmas! I have one about the beauty of the resort we stayed in (Perceptions of Paradise); my husband has 3 albums on the famous Balinese art and little dance. And we are still busy concocting new ones, good pastime for winter days. Looking forward to hearing from you, we wish you happy days ahead and a good harvest of photos. Gabriela and Yoshiyuki

A very intriguing tour of bygone days Luke.Thankyou for this journey -the quaintness of the homes -the exhausting daily chores and the large families -past generations sure knew the meaning of hard work didn't they Luke?It makes our world today look quite idle in the way of house hold chores!Imagine 10 children and no washing machine or dryer and sewing their clothes by hand knitting for them all -but having to shear the sheep and comb and spin the wool before even getting it on the needles -no wonder they didn't have time to invent T.V's and computors! What amazing stock our ancesters must have been! Thanks so much Luke -cheers from New Zealand !
