Bon Jour Cecile -- Your {beautiful} photography here inspires me to comment longer than usual. In 1977-78 I went through this area on a privately organized trip with two Brits in a Land Rover. That trip began in England and crossing Europe down to Ceuta. In the area we traveled - we went as far south as Agadez, Niger. From there - east over to the the salt-digging oasis of Bilma. Then north back into Algeria to Djanet. The trip lasted 3 months. I got involved in this trip by contacting an advertisement, (found in the British Geographical Magazine), for some interested partiscipants in some Sahara exploration. -- Your beautiful scenes capture {perfectly} what I myself saw. I have some good 35-mm slides of there. But your camera work captured {perfectly} the beauty of the Draa valley that I saw. And viewing these takes my mind back to there in vivid memeory. There's some beautiful desert areas in the USA. But of course it is not the same - as your pictures show. There is nothing like experiencing the expansive ocean of the Sahara and the complete solitude away from civilization. I have so many 35-mm slides - I do not much feel like going to all the work to sort them and display them on WSs. Maybe later ? Anyway, your superb camera work really gave rise in me of memories - and caused me to comment more than (just} - {beautiful pictures}. So - merci très beaucoup for the pleasure of these scenes. I downloaded them. Looking forward to viewing your other albums. I speak very little French. I learned just a few things during that trip. And I hope what French I do write here is accurate ! ?
