The Beijing Center trip to Yunnan, a southwestern China province, in February 2002. We visited Kunming, Zhongdian (Shangri-La), Lijiang, Dali, and Xishuangbanna. This is where we celebrated Chinese New Year.

  • Suzy, thanks for the comment (my first one!). My trip to Yunnan provence was part of a study abroad program while I was in college. We went through a group called "Wild China" www.wildchina.com. They have excellent (to say the least) trips that offer a good balance between adventure and culture. Yunnan was the most culturally beautiful place ever... YOU MUST GO!!! There is so much to see and do. Please let me know if I can help!
