Wow. You know, before I saw this album I never thought of visiting the Smokies, and I don't know why. After seeing these pictures, I'm going to have to go! And that's going to be quite a trip, since I'm in California right now! Now I'm going to have to start studying weather and what to bring on a visit, since I have never been to Tennessee before either. This has got to be one of the most gorgeous places on earth, maybe even better than Yosemite. Don't know, have to go and look!

Your album is a great place to "visit" between trips to the Smokies. You've captured everything from the grandest mountain peak to the tiniest bluet so well. Thanks for sharing your awesome photos... happy trails.

*falls over laughing* I saw an entry I left a long time ago, and it tickled my pinkish. 'my father the canon' *LAUGHS!* k. Votre grenouille a mange mon dejeuner! (please put the accents over the vowels as needed. I am not so brainy as to be knowing how to type them. *winks* love!

We just returned from a vacation from Florida's August heat to the GSMNP. We got a taste of the AT by following a portion of it almost to Clingman's Dome before we had to bail because of darkness and my daughter wasn't up to the hike back to the car. I want to hike th AT at least thru the GSMNP one day with my children and (maybe) may husband. Your pictures of the Lodge and the shelter and some of the trail aspects helped me understand more of what it would be like. I love your pics-I only had a cheesy disposable camera-totally inadequate to capture even an idea of the beauty and granduer of the mountains. I downloaded some of the pics-like Laurel falls that I didn't get when I was there. Thank you so much for the great pictures of one of my best summer vacations. Whitney

Thanks for sharing this album. I hiked to Mt.LeConte for the first time in April 2004, and did not have any pictures to show for it. I was looking for some LeConte pictures when I found yours. You did a great job capturing some of the magic. I have downloaded several of your pictures of wildflowers as well as some of the special views that I remembered from my own trip. Thanks again.

You really know how to capture the heart and soul of one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's one of our family's favorite places to visit. Just looking at the pictures make me homesick. When we are there we feel at home. Thankyou.

Wonderful pics that bring back many great memories. My family goes to the Smokies every Thanksgiving. My wife and I got engaged on the 2nd bridge on the way up to Chimney Tops. The Alum Cave hike is one of our favorites. Your pics have motivated me to take even more pics this year. Keep that camera active! Greg

You are so lucky to have been there. If I had to choose one place on this planet to migrate to, it would be the Smokies. We have one or two places in NZ that are similar, so I really must upload my own pics soon! Keep up the great photography. Linda
