Hi Mike, As a Greek (Karpathian-American to be specific), I have a hard time believing you aren't Greek as well... ;-) These wonderful photos you have chosen to share with us capture the essence of Greece. I decided to add this comment after seeing your Karpouzia photo. The subtley of that shot and the memories it brings back of waking up at my grandmothers' house, hearing the truck vendors blaring their music and announcing thier wares over the bullhorn.... just brilliant! Fifty years ago, when I was a student in Germany, I spent four months in Greece travelling from one island to another and hitchhiking from Thessaloniki to Athens. It was a lovely, carefree time. I have not been to Greece for the past twenty years. Your pictures brought back a lot of nostalgic memories. I loved the simple life then as Greece was not discovered by the tourists yet. Thank you for the excellent pictures, especially the ones of Santorini and the reflection of the waters in Mykonos. All your pictures are fabulous. I am so happy this album has been featured. Thanks for the invite to your Greek pictures :) they are absolutely wonderful and brought back great memories - especially the ones from Patmos :) I lived and worked there for 14 years ( even though I was born there - I grew up in Canada, now living in the UK ) Greece has much beauty to offer visitors, if we could only sort out their animal welfare issues, it would be so much better ! But for sure, it is a photographer's heaven ! And you have definately captured it beautifully !

I also enjoyed your pictures. You have been in more Greek islands than I have. By the way, Nafplio is in the Peloponese peninsula (Greek mainland) below Corinth on the Aegean side. No wonder you are so fond of the Greek islands! You have created such a beautiful album here Mike! I have been to Greece twice and had a lot of bad luck both times. The first time they stole my brandnew digital camera on the last day, so o photo's then. The second time I felt down from a mountain with my scooter in Kreta.... I had to spent 14 days in a hospital then... again... no photo's. I am glad I can enjoy yours now instead. (don't think I will ever go back there...) Greetings, Diana.
