• Suresh, it was my pleasure to take you to another visit to Jerusalem's Old City. There's so much to see in such a small place and there's a lot more to see in other parts of the city. I hope to share with you some more in my next albums. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Yair.

  • Suresh, thanks for your visit to my album of Zippori! I'm pleased to hear that you like it and the mosaics shown in my pictures. I will share more archaeology in my next albums, I hope they will be of interest as well. Have a wonderful week! Yair.

  • Suresh, that's a beautiful album that I did not visit yet and I'm glad I did it today! I hope that I'll have a chance to visit Egypt in the future, at the moment it's not safe for Israelis to do that. Next week I plan to make a short visit to Jordan, I hope to come back with some pictures. Suresh, thanks for your visit to my Global View album! I really am glad that you like my albums of street art and exhibitions. We do have many talented artists and they are also very creative. Today I created a new album, this time it shows some archeology, I hope to share more of these in the future. You're invited to take a look. Take care, Yair.

  • Good morning Suresh, I just took this cruise along the Nile River with you. It is almost as if I were there myself only better because I am sure I would have missed many of those selected details and little observations. It is Sunday morning and I am allowing myself time to travel to some of the beautiful places you have visited with your camera. I just revisited Tuscany too which I have had the pleasure of visiting in person. And I review the Iceland album over and over again because it almost seems unreal. Tell me, are the skies really sooo deep blue there? Awsome! Have a great week. Regards, Eve

  • Hi Suresh, What a wonderful album and what a fabulous trip it must have been! I have wanted to follow this same journey of wonder since childhood, when I first saw a picture of the pyramids. Thank you for these outstanding photographs, for taking me along on this journey and for your very kind and generous words on my Illusions album. Best wishes from Florida, Paul.

  • Thanks for this tour, it was a real pleasure ! <> Anyone interested in a fine BBC educational production about the early discoverers of some of Egypt's sand-covered kingdom's might want to check out the 360 minute production named: "Egypt - Rediscovering A Lost World." <> Program description: Part personal drama, part documentary, part history lesson, Egypt is a first class, six-part BBC production that manages to be at once edifying and entertaining. Covers Howard Carter, British archeologist who discovered the tomb of Tutankhaman. Also: Giovanni Belzoni, an anglicized Italian circus performer who ended up in Egypt in 1814, and ended up totally caught up in searching for Egyptian Kingdom's tombs. And much more ... Find it at Amazon.com - or - www.BBCAmerica.com.

  • I had briefly viewed this album before, but came back today to travel leisurely with you on this marvelous journey. My aunt was born in Egypt in 1900 (I think) and there are some photos in my grandfather's album that he took there. I enjoyed this album very much. As always you provide so much for us to learn as well as the expert photography. Thanks for taking WS along on your travels to places we can only dream about. Best wishes, Carol

  • Hello Suresh.. Awesome "tour “ Thank You very much…I just went to an I-Max screening of “The mysteries of the Nile”…from source to sea…What a spectacular place, so rich with history and marvelous creations. A member from the expedition was on had with a slide show of the taskings in the making of the film. It was a rafting expedition the full length of the Nile...That will be about as close as I will get to the Nile I am afeared. However the past hour I spent with this album has taken me there again...Suresh, your photos would very much grace the large screen of the I-Max...Thank You Sir for a wonderful tour...Gerry .. • Dear Suresh, thank you so much for this history lesson and tour of Egypt. I doubt I will ever get to see these marvels in person, so you have done me a great service to show them so well through your lens. In addition to all the m####ive statues, I particularly liked the reflections in #25, the great faces in 48, and 50, and the pure Egypt in 58, 60 and 63. I would also like you invite you to stop by my latest album - there is a special surprise there for you. Warm greetings from California, Beth

  • Hi, What a spectacular album! I'm fascinated by ancient Egyptian architecture. I've always dreamt of visiting The Valley of the Kings and this album makes me salivate at the thought of being there. Unfortunately, the closest I've ever come to it is the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. One day when the political climate is better, perhaps I will be able to see it for myself. In the mean time, thanks for bringing it to us and for your kind words on my flowers, Paul in Florida.

  • Hi again, Suresh, Yet another virtual tour with you. What a wealth of ancient buildings and history Egypt has. And how accomplished those old civalisations were. Older people like me owe such a debt to photographers like you. who, through their 'seeing eye' and their lens, bring us wonderful insight on places in this amazing world of ours, which we shall probably never be able to visit in what's left of our lifetime. Thankyou SO much for enriching our lives with your beautiful pictures. I shall be back to see more very soon. Greetings dear friend,(may I call you that?) Sheila. UK

  • Hello Suresh, It's a joy to sail with you along the river Nile and see the roots of our civilization through your eyes. It's amazing what the old egyptians have created. In particular when seeing people in front of the hugh temples one realizes what is accomplished in the early days of the old Egypt. Great photos Suresh! Greetings, Tjebbe

I've booked a trip to Egypt in the early January next year with my family and a friend family, and now I'm much more excited to travel there. This is a treasure! Thank you so much for sharing! Thank you also so much for your generous comments about my daughters drawings! She's too modest with her drawings, would not like to show them to anyone. I myself cannot drawn anything. Have a nice day! Best wishes from Salla, Finland

  • Thank you Suresh for visiting my country home. And yes, I have been blessed to have my home here in this beautful valley setting. Do you live in India, or just visiting in these pictures? You ask about the Oak tree. We have several old Oak trees down by the river, and a couple not so old in our yard. The hug tree (first Picture) and maybe what you are referring to is at least 75-85 year's old, and it is a Pear tree, and still giving us fruit. Come visit again, I'm always adding new pics. Your photos are beautiful, very professional and also truly interesting. Laura USA

One has to admire the wonders of ancient cultures whether if we share their beliefs of not... The same is for the magnificent historical sites you show in your albums. • You have it!! It's Sprite (lemon lime soda pop) and baby oil!!! You are a real good sport, Suresh!!! You make me smile! I had alot of fun playing with all these mediums this weekend! I have given the Orange daisy a new lead shot that I took this afternoon in a garden center. Will that be it then??? I never know...it's a sickness you know...one minute I can be in my jammies...with my feet aimed toward the bed and then I will see the light hitting something a certain way and the next thing you know...I have Sally out of her case and the tripods and lights out of the closet, and I am at it again!!! LOL I have the photo bug!!!! :o)b Thanks agian for playing my game and being such a good sport. :o)b Barbie

    said of pompeii7 pompeii7 2004.05.31 at 21:30:34 PDT

  • ha ha...you are too funny...now that I have put out my daisy chains...my mediums have fallen to the background...but if you take a look at the image called 'guess' and the one called 'guess again'... you will find a medium you can consume. If you take a look at the lead shot, #2, #29, #30, #31 and #32... you will find something you can rub on a baby's bottom..... :o)b

    said of pompeii7 pompeii7 2004.05.31 at 06:15:17 PDT

  • Hi Suresh!! I just added a hint to the lead comment of the Orange Daisy album...as follows... This is a wild... hockey suited, full pad, face masked Barbara...trying every kind of medium...from water to...you guess! (a hint: with the exception of a bump up of saturation in PS, all these images are straight out of Sally.) So your #2 guess is the only one that fits. The rest is leaving you guessing again!! LOL :o)b barbie (ps...thank you for playing!~~~~ :o)b )

They're just a flower vase filled with orange juice and a vodka glass filled with water. I know you'll find it hard to believe it…lol. I had no patience to shoot more yesterday night at home. Idea came to me all of a sudden and as usual I let it go. As for pandas, they’re so lovely that we could spend the whole day just by watching them. Eating and sleeping, no other activities…lol. Limited space became a very good excuse for them just to eat and sleep….lol. Well...before I leave I must acknowledge that I’m honored to be in your fav. list. Cheers! Sanjay

  • Wow, Suresh, these pictures are stunning. The grandeur of the buildings, the subtle sand colours, you captured them all very well. I also enjoyed the pictures of scenery along the Nile, the boats, and last but not least, the people. Very well done. Kindest regards, Marjon

  • WOW! That was amazing!!! Everything so..... bigger than life!! And if the viewer takes time to ponder the immensity of the everything, it's sort of mind boggling how this was all constructed back in a time when there was no electricty or equipment such as we have today! WOW! Thank you so much for enduring the heat to bring these pictures to light. :o)b Barbara

  • Hi Suresh! What a magnificent album this is!! You have done a great job. Your depth is amazing. This I feel arguably one of the best on the Webshots. Wonderful travel album. My absolute favourites are “Close up of the colossi of Ramses II at Abu Simbel”, “Inner courtyard of the Luxor temple”, “A row of figures of queen Hatshepsut”, “The Avenue of Rams”, “desert with the pyramid & camel”, & “The donkey transport”. I’ve always wanted to visit Egypt but sadly never did so… anyway you’ve compensated it with this wonderful collection of photographs. Now one small question, are you from Kodaikanal? My native place is kerala. I hope to hear from you soon. With best regards,… Sanjay Pindiyath

  • Hi Suresh. Thank you for the invitation. I've been patiently waiting for more of your photos and am happy to say it's been worth the wait. You have a 'National Geographic' quality. Some of your photos serve to show just how massive the statues really are compared to the people below. Glad you also gave us a better look at the details. It's great to be able to get a close look at the bas-relief and hieroglyphics (not that I can read them!). For some reason I was surprised to see coloring in Queen Hatshepsut and the temple; wonder what medium they used. I enjoyed picking out a few outfits at the 'colorful shop'! You must have a kind face, Suresh, to get such beautiful portraits of the locals!! You also got some nice pictures along the Nile (from a felucca?). You're quite right about the 'perfect composition' photo, as are the ones following it!!! WOW, the Cairo Museum and the funerary mask of the Pharoh Tutankhamun! OK, now I KNOW you have a kind face. It's certainly a tribute to the architects and builders of the statues, columns and pillars that they have lasted for so long. Thank you so much for a wonderful tour and your descriptive input. Sad to say the journey went by all too quickly! --Nancy

  • Hi Sureh, Thnaks for the invite to your lovely album. VERY NICE! I was in Egypt working for the their government for a month in 1981, but I didn't get to Luxor or Alexandria, only to Cairo. It was right after Anwar Sadat was asssassinated and a very tense time. I guess I should feel lucky I was ever there at all. Thank you very much for the invitation. PLease see My "Oregon Coast" album it's turned out really well. Thanks again. Randy

  • Hi Sureh, what an excellent album! I've seen many photos of these places, but your excellent ones give a feeling of the size and beauty of the Egyptian ruins that has left me very impressed. Wonderful pictures of the colossi! I also love all the beautiful pictures of fallucas sailing on the Nile, and the intresting images of people. Had a great pleasure taking this cruise with you. Thanks and Bye! Orly
