    • Hi Michele, A great album, which I have greatly enjoyed and I have downloaded a lot of the pictures for wallpaper and screensaver. I have commented individually on the pictures I liked best, but there are none that I did not like apart from the creepy crawlies! I don't know what you think of the new Webshots format, where they are going to put 28 pictures per page? That really messed up my album, so I uploaded more pictures to fill in the empty space on what will be Page 2, when they make the change, so there are now 63 in the album. Some were more successful than others, but I think you might find some you like. Page 1 remains unchanged. Best wishes, Kathryn

    • Hi Pud, Glad you enjoyed the pups, they are SO cute aren't they? Went to visit them again today. They're now 15 days old, and growing fast. Have just put in a new album to show their progress. They are born white, but now their spots are starting to appear. (I didn't know they weren't born with them either.) Just had another look through this album, and enjoyed it all over again. Hope you enjoyed your Easter too. Love to all of you, God bless, Sheila.

    • Hi Pud. I was looking at this album and I noticed your had a picture that says "What is it" It's a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly caterpillar. I recently raised a monarch butterfly from caterpillar to adult. I have it on Webshots if you want to take a look. It was a lot of fun watching him grow. He sure ate a lot. I fed him milkweed, which I think is their favorite. You have a good day, Dwight

    • Hello pud, sorry I was experiencing some problems with my flower album and was advised by an experienced computer friend to delete it and stamp my photos and reload them, having 300 downloads in a few days and no comments made me and my friend suspicious and I also thought this was rude, of course this happened before you signed my guest book, sorry if you were offended but I had no suspicions about you. There is no need to return and re sign if you don't want to, but at the time it was something I had to do. Will come back and look at some more of your albums soon im off to Cumbria for a holiday.

    • Hi pud623. Thanks for signing my Smoky Mts album guestbook. Midnight Hole ... take Exit 451 from Interstate 40. (You've just crossed into North Carolina at that exit ... I guess NC has some nice spots, too.) Turn East and follow the river to Waterville, and bear right at the power plant toward the Big Creek Ranger Station/Campground. Follow the roads past the campground up to the day-picnic area. (There are also horse facilities up here, if you ride.) At the picnic area (which also has real bathrooms - a rarity in the Smokies) you can cross the Big Creek on a bridge to follow Baxter Creek Trail ... but that's not the way to Midnight Hole. Instead, go back to the Bridle Trail and head up alongside Big Creek on the Big Creek Trail. Midnight Hole is maybe a mile or so up the trail, as noted on the sign at the trailhead. But there wasn't any sign at the hole itself when we got there. Just a pretty-well worn path. It's also nice to keep on going to Mouse Creek Falls, less than a mile further. Mouse Creek dumps into Big Creek in a very picturesque fashion. Nice place to picnic. On your way back, keep your eyes peeled on the left side (uphill) of the trail for House Rock. You'll see it in my album. It's a scramble to get up to it, and hard to photograph (I had to stitch several pics together to get it all.) Even though the day was warm, the Big Creek was COLLDD! Although one person was diving off the rocks into the Midnight Hole. I think it was more fun to watch, myself. There are little fish - fingerling trout I suppose - in the hole. If you're patient, you can catch one in a plastic baggie. I've seen it done. I see you like the Smokies as much as I do. Only it's about 14 hours to drive there for me, so I don't get to go as often as I'd like! So keep posting pictures for the rest of us to make "virtual&quo t; visits! Thanks! canonfather .. p.s. What kind of camera do you use? My pics were all taken with a Canon Powershot A20. (Well, some of them are pictures of slides I took years ago ... converted to digital with the A20.) :)

    • Hi Pud, Tennessee is a beautiful place and you have done a great job of sharing the beauty in this album. Well...all except those spider and "what is it?" pictures! I read Mike's comment below & I have to say that it's hard to believe that that is a caterpillar!!! I definitely prefer the trees and waterfalls!!! Thanks so much for sharing and thank you for your kind comments in my guestbook last week! Take care and God bless, Lynn

    • Hey Pud, You don't have to run from daddy longlegs--those spiders dont hurt anyone. They dont even build webs for you to run into. As to your unknown - it is a caterpillar of a tiger swallowtail butterfly. Those arent real eyes--they are just fakes to fool predators into attacking an area that is not so vulnerable. Nice pics again though. Mike

    • Hi Pud, Glad you didnt like the spiders--LOL. You wouldnt mind these actually--without the macro blow-up, you couldnt even tell these were spiders--they were so small. Ive been back here refreshing my memory of the Smokies in looking at your great photos. I especially like the bleeding hearts--Ive been trying to find some of those to shoot around here. Im also wondering how Pt. Pelee got into this--are you a birdwatcher; its a great place to see huge migrations. Thanks for your comments and for sharing these. Mike
