Hi Jacques! Nice album! Thanks for the invite and your long email. Glad your health is better. As regards your question: sequential or a theme; just try to imagine what is most appealing to others to view at. Sequential is often meaningless to the one who was not there... It may even mean that the first page of such an album (the best visited photos of each album) has the less interesting photos... So whatever you choose: the cover photo should be the most appealing one as thumbnail; that one should make people interested to open your album (remember my remark on your cover photo (the tower in the middle of a white sky) of your best viewed album?). Webshots allows 100 photos now per album. That is in fact a number which is way to large... It would be interesting to see how many people make it to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc page... I am sure you see it dramatically decline.... I am busy with an album on Istanbul the theme will be Istanbul as I saw it... so with a lot of colours, lots of people, beautiful mosques etc (so variation). Other albums of mine zoomed in on one subject... showing it in all its splendour (the mill and the boats...).Greetings Anna

Cher ami, taking the trip with you through the French countryside in spring was such a delight! As I already had a taste of the album with the few photos you sent over, so much the greater was the pleasure to enjoy the colours! The black pansies are gorgeous! The American Museum garden looks like a paradise of flowers. La Roche Guyon is INDEED a beautiful area!!! Photo No.64 made a great impression on me - I think it is one of the few well balanced, compact and with quite enough light among your inside-cathedrals shots. White Spring Fireworks in Givenchy (73) and Red Tulips in Sunshine (75) are among my special favorites. Though it is in reality difficult to choose favorites!!!As so many times before, you delight us again with a special album and.......I believe everybody's looking forward to "unforgetable INDIA"!!!! Thank you for the invitation! My very best to you, Gabriela

A magnificent tour through the French countryside, Jacques, with its architecture and beautiful flowers. A joy to take the slide show and download a few while there. And, as usual, up to your high standards of photography! Re: Forget-me-nots: Growing up in Europe, we had them growing all along our brook and took them for granted. Here they are even rarer than an orchid or hibiscus. Best Regards and wishes, bruno

This is a very special album, I enjoy all the beauty you captured from your hometown and the captions made it even more real for me. My favorite shots are of the old mill, what a wonderful and unique structure, I downloaded several of them, I also like your macro shots of the gardens, there is something in this album for every taste. Gabriela sent me an invitation to view this wonderful album, I will send her a thank you, and a thanks to you for sharing this part of the world with me! Candy from New Mexico, USA.

Bien amicalement. André

Hi Jacques, another beautiful album you have created. I was just reviewing some of your comments on Glacier Park. You mentioned not having a good slide/negative scanner. Many of my earlier albums were done using a negative scan. The low end scanners just don't work well, but several scanners have negative/slide attachments that work quite well for not a lot of money. The one I have is from HP, it scans at 2400 dpi, 48 bit color, and I paid about $250 American. I have been very pleased with it. A co-worker purchased an Epson that also does a very good job, a little less money. ...Paul

Dear Jacques, a great set of pictures that warm my heart. I have a particular liking for the pansies, which are an underrated flower but they always manage to stir me with their vibrant colours. The old houses and cathedrals of course also evoke the similar feelings of joy through their calm, sheltered imagery. Thanks for sharing.

Why are these put up when you can't down load them. I get as message that some file cannot be found? Should I stay away from this type photo? Do you have to belong to something?

What a beautiful collection of photos!! Natural scenery, architecture, flowers; it's all here and so well photographed. Your commentary is interesting and worthwhile. Thank you for going to so much effort for us. I especially liked #27 of the light and color play in the garden. Great job all round!! ~~~~Bob

Dearest Jacques - Congratulations! I am so happy to return from my trip to England and see that you have had a feature (again) in my absence! I know you have had some trouble with webshots recently, but I hope this keeps you here for awhile longer - I so enjoy seeing your photos. I haven't had a chance to look yet to see if you have posted anything new since I left - that will come next - I wanted first to send my congratulations for your well-deserved feature. Big hugs to you and Pierre, Beth

Hi, great pictures. I don't know whether you have ever been to Alcossebre on Spain's East Coast but I find it to be a very beautiful part of the world. Have a look for yourself on http://www.eastcoastspain.com and click the locality and picture pages to gain a feel for the area. There is a great National Park ideal for walkers, bird watching, flowers and fauna enthusiasts as well as having some breath taking views.
