I think the Japanese saying about art applies to your pictures. “First you see the tree in the painting, then you see the painting in the tree.” Art makes visible. I used to be a press photographer but changed careers when the newspaper I worked for closed down twenty years ago. I stopped taking pictures until recently when I got a very good, state of the art digital camera. I think that digital photography is doing to photography what the piano did for keyboard music. It is a whole new ball game. I live in Stellenbosch, a small university town near Cape Town, South Africa, and your pictures help me to “see” the beauty all around me. Can I be so bold to invite you to have a look at my pictures?
