This was great Candi! I love how you show the different seasons, colors, moods, and lighting of the same bridge and area. It is a beautiful scenic place - and you captured it so amazing. I love the caption on the picture Dave took too (I can see your white knuckles hanging on) - I'll be back for more soon. Thanks for your visits and giving me a big head with your sweet comments. I actually think I'm a photographer when I read what you write (Ha!) - Love Linda in Oregon

Hi Candi, it's very interesting to see all these pictures of the bridge. It's amazing how pictures of the same object can look so different from each other. Thanks for sharing this album and for visiting my Feijoa album. Wishing you a wonderful week, Yair.

Hi Candi, great shots of the Mackinac Bridge, it sure is impressive looking.I really like all the shots with the sunset in them and #17, is my favorite. It's strange that we are just across Huron from each other and it took Webshots to get us to meet, in a way. lol. Thanks for sharing...Claudette

Hello Candi and for some reason I have only just come across this album. It has a great personal interest to me because only recently some net friends drove round from St Cloud Minnesota to Albion Michigan and just for fun they went that way. But would you believe not one photo did they take and all I had to go on was a verbal description. True I looked it up on the net but even that holds no comparisons with your interpretation and it would have taken me well over half an hour to go through the album, picture by picture. Very nicely done and this is one I want to be sure to keep hold of! Hugs, Peter

Only an artistic eye would pick this upl Fantastic photographs and an orginal idea. Being I am an artist, at one point we looked out to a river on the Hudson in NY and there was a bridge. I made paintings and drawings of it at different times of the day. Every hour ot would change. Thanks so much for your comment in my featured album on the 4/13. Trying to catch up and it is taking over a week now and probably 3! Sorry I am taking so long. Have a super weekend! Gin the artist

Hi Candi!. I love the new photo mate. Thanks for the explanation on what happens when the lakes freeze solid. It is hard for Aussies to comprehend how cold it gets up there. For me personally cold is about 24 degrees F. I'll drop you a line before Christmas. Hugs mate! Al..

Hi Candi! I had no idea that Lakes Michigan and Huron ran together. It looks like they are really just one big lake. It was such a great idea to take the same shots at different times of the year and under different conditions. Love the sunsets! The night shots are fab too! You are a true photographer to get out there in the frigid temps and snap those photos!!! A great album! Jane

Hi Candi. I like the new additions mate. Is it usual to get fog in the Summer? That one looks like it was a beauty. The last couple of shots are goodies too. Were they taken very early or very late in the day?. I'm glad you said how long the bridge is because it's something that I have been meaning to ask you and kept on forgetting. Catch you later mate. Big hugs for you and say Hi to Dave. You better give Boo a scratch or a pet too. Cheers Al.

Dear Candi, I enjoyed viewing this album again, very much and also loved your new photos. The night shot was lovely and I enjoyed seeing the shots on such a beautiful day. The humid days were interesting and I especially enjoyed seeing people swimming in it, I had thought it was probably too deep to swim in. You know, the lakes here are all small and I have never viewed a lake (in person) that looks more like an ocean, it must be wonderful to live so near to it. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous place with me. Hope you will have a nice weekend, sending lots of love your way, Candy

These photos are great. They should get featured on Webshots. My grandmother was from Michigan and I still have relatives there. I used to have a little tv set she gave me that you would click the back and it had pictures of the bridge and other scenery in. I loved that thing. LOL. I want to visit there one day and go to Mackinac Island.

HiYa Candi, got here eventually, this bridge is something else, I think what my OLD Aussie friend Al says further down every picture is going to be different is true. I particularly like the sunsets no 24 and 69 are just great. How far are you from the bridge pretty near I would suggest as you have so many pic's of it. thanks for the web sight and bridge history I am now off to have a look BFN Ken

Hi Candi, Just love the shot titled, "40 minutes later" where you can actually see the traffic going over the bridge. The bridge is so beautiful, I sometimes forget it is also functional. I never tire of this album and go back often, to look at it again...such a beautiful subject deserves all the care and attention shown in your photos!

Hi Candi. You could compare this bridge with a sunset, it doesn't matter how many photos you take of it, none will be the same. I downloaded a couple of photos from the last page. Being an Aussie I find it hard to comprehend it being cold enough to freeze all of that water. I'm also having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that anyone is crazy enough to be out taking photos when it's that cold. lol. Thanks again for sharing. Al in Oz. PS. I have two new albums, one is a bird album and the other is about "The Molonglo River", which I might add is not frozen. If I don't move them they are both on page 2.

Dear Candi, I just had to have "Another View 12/27/04" a simply stunning photo! I love the foggy look caused by falling snow and the tree branch in the foreground adds so much depth and beauty to this lovely shot! I didn't realize that it had been so long since I had visited here. I enjoyed viewing it all again, keep taking pictures of the Mackinac, I love them! Hugs and Love, Candy

Just love the most recent photos of the Mackinac Bridge, had to download all 3 of them! So interesting how the waves break and refreeze the ice. Makes a beautiful picture. I especially like the one with the tree branch silhouetted in the foreground. It does create a wonderful mood.

Hi Candy, fabulous album of the Mackinac Bridge! I once lived in Michigan for a while, but never made it to Mackinac. I love the many moods you've captured, and especially the "moody" ones such as the sunsets, #60/61 - the bridge reflected in the ice of Lake Huron. I also enjoyed seeing your family pictures, you're a beautiful woman and I wish you well, hope you stay strong. The little dog is also adorable. Best regards, Ina in Canada

Hi Candi, this is a great album and I enjoyed it very much. That bridge is so beautiful and I can fully understand that you wanted to photograph in at any possible way, and from any possible angle. You did a great job! Although I like all the pictures, I still have some favourites, namely nrs. 23 and 24, 31 and 44. And I do want to thank you for the nice words you wrote in the guestbook of Wonderful (Winter)Art. Have a nice weekend, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Candi, Thought I should check out another Michiganders albums...you have been gratious to view mine. Thank your for your kind responses. Big Mac is looking good. I especially like 7-31-04 #2, great grouping with the trees. Luv it. My husband sailed the Great Lakes for 31 years and just retired. Being his spouse, I had the opportunity to travel with him on several occasions. Going under the bridge at 2 am in the morning is quite a site to behold. It freaked me right out. I was in front of the pilot house, outside and just looking up. Wow...it's a long wasy from the water to the middle span. No digital camera at the time either. This is a great album Candi. Keep up the great work. Vicki/Michigan

Candi, thanks for signing my Toronto Road Trip guestbook the other day. I took a peek at your Little Family album, but this is the album I really wanted to see. This tribute to a great bridge is a real treasure trove as far as I'm concerned. I've driven across this bridge a number of times and often wished I had the time to explore the different angles and views of it, and now you've gone and done it for me. All I have to do is look at the pictures. Thanks! Jon, Seattle. P.S. Sorry to hear about your condition. I hope they find a cure someday.

For sure this bridge is a beauty (mainly for an italian man like me... we haven't this type of suspended bridges here), but I thinks also your love for it and for its different aspects is beautiful. Hallo Candi - thanks, for stopping by and viewing my New Orleans album (another one is in the making in the near future) and the nice comment to go with it. - You have a very good collection of shots of the famous bridge - my favorite is 6-11-04. I've been to many places, but Michigan is not among them. But, one never knows.... Best wishes - Jim

Hi Candi, I took your advice and went to http://www.mackinacbridge.org/ I didn't realize that the Makinac bridge was an engineering marvel similar to the Brooklyn Bridge! Your artistic renderings (i.e. photos) of the bridge really gives one a great feeling not just of it as an impressive construction but a thing of beauty as well. Bien fait, as they say in Quebec.

Hello Candi, I enjoyed seeing the many moods of the Might Mac, what a great idea, so nice to see the changes. I liked the ice photos but my favorite was the shot you took on 4/26, that is a gorgeous shot, and I downloaded it! Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with me, Candy
