  • Hi Cathy! Great album! Of those 4 places I did not go to Verona and Pisa.. I am still working on an album on Venice... Thanks for your nice words in my guestbook and for making me a favourite member. I am glad you were not angy with me, because of my remark on bluish snow. We just had that subject on the photoclub. You seem to have to overexpose snow; sometimes these lighting hints go against your feelings. The camera is deceived and not the human eye... Photography is my hobby since a bit less than 2 years and I'm still no expert in lighting as all my photos have been made on automatic so far. The times I tried out how to do it manually, ended in photo disasters.... Cameras are pretty brainy these days... but sometimes they do not understand extreme situations... I just went to Africa and some of my photos ended up too DARK as the camera shied away from so much and so intense light... (the sun being in my back....) As everybody says you have to go on manual... I feel obliged to try out, but so far..... Have you tried out a photoprogram? Great for setting strait horizons, getting the blue out of snow and of lighting up some too dark African photos.... Glad you loved my boats; many people find them a lit extreme as it 'does not show the WHOLE boat' I t was great fun making these photos in the little harbour in Tenerife... There were only some 4 bigger boats and some 3 little ones.. but it appears to be many more, is not it? Greetz Anna Oldenhave, The Netherlands
