  • Thank you for the kind comments on my photos. I see that you are a great traveller and have lots of wonderful albums. We have visited the ASA & Canada quite a lot when our son live in Sunnyvale Ca in the 90's. The camera I used for the Wellington Fireworks was an Olympus770c Superzoom in Night Mode. I have had it for two years and it has been a fabulous camera. Cheers Norris

  • beautiful album. i'm from santa fe and saw your post in someones feature today asking for tips on new mexico. definitely go to santa fe. tons of art galleries and great restaurants. just outside of santa fe and on the way up to the ski basin/hyde park there is a fantastic hot tub place nestled in the mountains. all the tubs are outside. in fact i helped build the place roughly 20 years ago. if you have time you should drive to taos. on the way there go through ojo caliente where there is a natural hot springs bath house which is also wonderful. they have between 6-8 pools of natural hot water and different minerals and a mud bath too. it's the perfect place to stop off on the way to taos. then after that stop you can take the route where you will cross the rio grande gorge. if you stay in taos the taos inn is a great place. every year there is a music festival in june or july and i travel there to be with friends. we stay at the taos inn and it's always been a great time. in fact i have some albums of one of my trips back you can see the taos inn and the gorge. have a great trip. take care. george-

  • Paul, thank you for nice comments on our "Jemez Mtn Trail” and “Albuquerque Sunsets - Featured 12/13/2005" albums. You asked about travel tips in the Jemez Mountains, and perhaps the best I can give you is a web site that list “New Mexico day trips” including maps & highlights along the way. It is http://www.heartnm.com. The day trip thorough the Jemez is http://www.heartnm.com/english/trip2_jemez.html. Also several of our albums provide maps of the New Mexico area we photographed (see http://community.webshots.com/user/edandhelen). Have fun when you come, and welcome to New Mexico. • pertaining to the message you left about palm springs, you should definitely hike around the top of Mt. san jacinto. I would also suggest driving to Joshua Tree, California and seeing joshua tree national park. It is the only place in the world where joshua trees grow. I would also suggest seeing the hidden valley in that park. There is also a look out point, I am not sure what it is called, but from there you could see the sultan sea, palm springs, mt san jacinto, and many other places. Hope that helps!

  • My comments are not specific to this album in particular because I was impressed with most all I looked at and sure wish I could see some of the places in person. You did rather neglect TN & GA where we have some exciting stuff, too. Think I saw 2 whole pics of TN but thank you for sharing your photos.
