  • Hello Gladys! Nice shots of the ibis, pelicans, and swans! I also like your shot of black and white! Those orb spiders are scary-looking creatures; we have them all over the north end of Antelope Island at this time of year. I always enjoy your albums! Cheers! Keith

  • Hi Gladys! Thank you for your recent kind comments about my flowers. They're easy to take; I don't have to chase them nearly as fast or as far as my birds. You have a very nice collection of wildlife here and it's a sad falcon story. Raptors are such beautiful birds, but are also in such peril from us - poisons, power lines, etc. I find your pelicans fascinating. They are so similar to ours, yet so different. I also noticed your Purple Swanphens. We seem to have their cousins here in Florida: Purple Gallinules and Common Moorhens. I must return and see more that Australian countryside. Thanks, Paul in Florida.

  • Hello Gladys! Thank you so very much for all your nice words in the guestbook of my featured album "The land of the midnightsun" aug.13th. I feel very honoured. ...(I did not get any longer with my writing.)I have now stayed here for an hour looking at your photos..That always happens when I visit your site. You are one of my favourites because you show such love in what you do. You love photography and you love nature. Your heart shows in your photos, and that makes them so beautiful and special. I like your wildlifephotos, your desert tracks, and of course your flowers and skyscapes...I could go on and on.Yes, we have a beautiful nature up here in the north of Norway, but Australia is on top of my list of places I really want to go to. One of my best friends and collegues went to Australia last year, and she brought back so many nice photos and entertained us with stories from the trip all the year.. Now,I have downloaded "pelican3&qu ot; to my screensaver.I just had to! He was so cute..and will make me smile everytime I see him! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us.I will be back. Elin

  • I didn't think you could improve this album but you have proved me wrong! Wonderful stuff. I am still in awe at those processionary caterpillars! But no bobtails and no dugites - or are you saving those for the next addition? Peter

  • Gladys: I enjoy all the birds. The black swans are so beautiful and was amazed at the string of catapillars. I like the birds but not spiders. Was bitten by a Brown Recluse in 1979 and am very anti spiders after that ordeal. The photos are great tho. Kay

  • Hi Gladys how are you? Thanks for stopping by to view my feature and sign my book, your tips were very helpful. ... This is an interesting album, how was that crayfish dinner? ... Sad story indeed, I feel so bad for that poor falcon. ... I love all our wonderful birds and your garden frog. Thanks again Gladys, will come back often Brenda. :-)

  • Hi Gladys, Interesting album in itself, Wildlife of Oz. The bees appear to be 'honey', so you could've gotton closer, even shot a macro if you'd like without getting stung if you didn't mess with the nest. They're quite docile when the queen is present. Had a swarm like this in an apartment complex once, called a beekeeper in to handle it and they were being taken away in three days time. Thank you for the invitation. Been busy here, will drop you a line. Best regards. Ron

  • Hi Gladys, Thanks for the invite. These chicks are the cutest. You're very lucky to have a nest on your yard. I wish the local residents would bless me with one. One thing though - in your e-mail you mentioned 13 pictures. I only saw 6 (the last 6 of 75 in the album). Greetings from Florida, continued luck with that nest, and keep us abreast, Paul. P.S. Thanks for your many kind comments on my Zion album. P.P.S. European honey bees are docile unless they are Africanized. Those are extremely aggressive and have been known to kill people and livestock here in North and South America.

  • Nicely done Gladys and we, too, look like becoming happy "foster" parents before long with a nest currently under construction in a very fragile tree that is growing in a pot under the patio and right outside our lounge door. Like you we have been putting bits and pieces out for them which are gratefully accepted. Am not sure what the birds are but they aren't honeyeaters. Peter

  • Good moorning Gladys, thanks for the invitation to view this lovely album. So much birdlife, and not a flying penguin in sight! What a delight to find a nest, with babies, in your backyard. An interesting and diverse range of subjects, well done. Have a great day, Keith.

  • Hi Gladys, thanks for your lovely messages. Belief me: getting you messages IS like being featured! -- I know your first site not very well. So thanks for the invitation to this specialty! Here is so much more to see, than only the lovely pictures at the end!! I like the pelicans! Wonderful shots! The ducks, the bees, the Caterpillars wandering like geese one after the other and a lot of interesting creatures (I wouldn't like to meet them in the dark...) a impressive collection! The peaceful dove outside you window is a wonderful shot showing every single feather of the bird. WOW. And I found those soft nests with 'Clancy pillows'! Extraordinary! Have a wonderful weekend! • Hello Gladys! We love wildlife albums, and especially when it is from so far away...! Beautiful waterbird shots! But we also like the garden frog, the crayfish ALIVE, the bee swarm etc... The baby birds are so cute, they have beautiful parents! Thanks for sharing this nice discoveries! Thanks, too, for your nice words for Panterli in oertlif_2! We copy also for you: "Great thanks for your warm and touching words for our Panterli! We had always many cats in our home for our children, they all where "indoor" cats, we loved them all! Panterli, our last cat, as an outdoor cat, was very different and we had such a special relationship with her: we respected the distance she wanted from humans, her independence, her liberty; and she was so thankful for that. The only place where she felt enough in security to hug was the kitchen window ledge outside, we had so sweet moments together there. For a few days, Panterli was very very sick, she was hiding herself in the garden, didn't eat anymore. We put water everywhere. Monday morning, Heinz found her hidden in the hen house, p####ed away... She lived as an outdoor cat and she died as an outdoor cat. We are missing her: her kitchen window kisses, the long conversations we had together (she was speaking with her eyes!), her discreet and delicate character..." Have a nice weekend! Hugs, Henri and Käthi

  • Love the baby birds in nest. What is the pinky purply lining - feathers? Enjoyed roaming through your land again. The death of the peregrine touched me. When last in WA my sister and I saw a peregrine with chicks learning to fly. Thelma

  • Hi Gladys, thanks for visiting my Snail's Blog. Let's hope that all of our problems with Webshots will be over soon and all that will remain is that funny snail. It was really interesting to watch this little creature... You're invited to take a look at some of my other albums (search for ykarelic and you'll find my eight accounts...) Have a wonderful weekend, Yair.

  • Thank you for the view of wildlife on the other side of the world from me! The waterfowl at Lake Monger seem as comfortable with people as those at our public lakes, and I enjoyed seeing the different species. Also, I love the shot of the Anhinga. Best wishes, SJ Abrams in Virginia, USA
