In our part of Michigan (Topinabee) the woods are thick with wild blueberries toward the end of July and the beginning of August. I hope you enjoy my images.

I loved these pictures. There's really nothing better than Wild Michigan blueberries. My favorite place to pick them is at the Shelldrake Dam State Forest Campground NW of Paradise in the U.P. or the Betsy Lake area of Tahquamenon Falls State Park. I've just planted 10 lowbush blueberry shrubs at my house. Can't wait!!

Hello Candi, I am drooling all over this album again having viewed it on my other name ages ago. They are one of my favorite fruits. Last time I said we only imported them to UK, well good news is quite a few are starting to grow them here now. congratulations on the feature, we were away with new grandson at the time & then had my own feature on the 12th, so has taken me a week to catch up with myself! Congratulations on your feature today, Candi. When I was younger my mom would take us to her friends place in Maine (we lived in Massachusetts) for the summer. One summer I went with some of the local teens to pick (rake actually) blueberries. It was quite an experience and I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for the memories. Nancy

Wow Candi! Congratulations on being featured today with your great blueberry album. I sent a couple of shots to my friend in Texas just to make him wistful and make his mouth water -- blueberies are his absolute favorite food of all! Wondering if precious little Boo went in the woods to help you pick them! Looking at that beautiful fruit sure made me want to go for a walk in the woods there and stock up enough berries to fill a freezer with enough to use for pies, preserves and pancake syrup, plus LOTS of Maple-Blueberry-Banana Muffins (one of my family favorites)during the fall and winter. I used to rake blueberries in Maine with the children of one of my mom's friends where they worked during the summer. Hard work but tasty blue fun as well! Thank you for the memories (and great photographs).

Hi Candi, Thank you so much for your lovely GB entries so I came back to a look at some of your albums. I know blueberries are good for you so I try to eat some every morning with my breakfast but I bet they are nothing like you sweet juicy straight of the bush ones like yours and with the fresh rain on them too they looked really yummy. Can I please have a slice of that pie :o) I am interested that you have a Fuji camera too I think the macro mode on it is just stunning if you get it right. If you want to see how, I think I did get it right and you get the chance look in my East Blean woods in the summertime album the camera has really done me proud for those.
