  • I have returned once again to this wonderful album - it is a history book as well as great photography - all very masterfully composed in a precise order. I never tire of its beauty. Carol

  • Wonderful tour of these cathedrals. They tell us a history. The beautiful artistry that is represented in these buildings alone is a tribute to the men who created them. To play these organs would be wondrous pleasure and a prayer to God who makes this all possible. Can't say enough about the light and clarity, the sharpness of the carefully orchestrated fotos. Ron, Massachusetts

  • Jacques..As I was sitting at the computer viewing this awesome album..one frame at a time..putting myself in your place as you record these 12th century Gothic Structures...You can "feel" the presence of ALMIGHTY GOD who is in the midst...Such an awesome feeling to view such structures which were built centuries ago by workers who were inspired by God to erect these beautiful buildings...Thank you so much for sharing these awesome & fantastic images with all your detailed information (others have also said this in comments below)...Congratulations on being selected as "Featured Members of the Week" as this is a Tribute & Honor for your dedicated passion to present such awesome albums...God's Blessings from Texas...Ken

  • Cher Ami, me voila! I have looked again at this re-structured album, which is by now a very good guide for those who intend to visit France in the future and learn at least something of French history and art. The Cathedrals are irreplaceable monuments created by the human race. There are some 38 photos that I consider remarkable: Paris Cathedral- 105 &107; Soissons Cathedral - 163, 164,166,167; Chartres Cathedral - 174, 175,177,179; Bourges Cathedral - 184,185,186,188,196,197; Amiens Cathedral - 202,204,206,208; Beauvais Cathedral - 214,217,218; Sens Cathedral -114,115,116,118; Saint-Denis Cathedral -124,125; Noyon Cathedral- 135,138; Senlis Cathedral - 142, 144, 147; Laon Cathedral - 151,152,154,156. The figures are those in front of every photo title. I think of the effort and time it took you to make the choice and create a unified whole. Every person interested by such a subject would be grateful to you for this magnificent presentation. With everlasting admiration, Gabriela

  • Bonsoir Jacques !

  • A fantastic album that I miss in past and that I discover today; happy for that detection I'm also grateful with you for this collection. I love the moyen age and I think that its'nt the shady time that is described in many books. For sure in first years it was a black age, but then it was also an age of new hope and reversal.... it had in it the seeds of our time and in my opinion we are the children of moyen age. Anyway .... the quality of your shots is great as usual and your comments are fantastics.... I LIKE the love that you put in your job and the accurancy of your descriptions !!! An applause mainly at photos: 10, 22, 30, 38, 64, 75 and 83.... I love details..... A friendly CIAO and again thanks for the virtual visit! Ruggero

  • Hello Jacques! This an exquisite trip through the ages of cathedrals. The 12th century and the early 13th century seem to have been the age of building 'Notre- Dame' all over France. I have not been to many of them. I thank you for the pictures. I loved the stained glass windows. Many of the are truly beautiful work. Thank you too for the captions without which I would have been groping for relevance of any particular cathedral. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. Best wishes, Suresh

  • A spiritual journey that is pure and peaceful! Masterpieces within as the subject and how you captured the serenity of it. brilliant! The stained glass photos are so clear, bright, vivid and the use of light is perfect. I love the shots where you have used the light streaming in from above in the dome and other areas. Visually stunning in many ways. Thanks for sharing, best regards to you and take care!

  • Greetings, Jacques. Yet antoher beautiful album. I managed to see the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris in 1974; the pictures bring back memories. I haven't seen the other cathedrals, but some parts of them are even more beautiful. Nice to see you working close to home - with such great results. As always, a few minutes of my time viewing your album was very much worth it. John N.

  • Mon tres cher amis, WHY on earth would you do such a thing ??????I have just NOW (after having already viewed the album) received the invitation to this latest album, which is NOT "the complete set", as you call it, but only a GRAND REVIEW. I feel VERY SAD AT HEART for the decision you have taken! Removing your UNIQUE albums on Mediaeval Cathedrals would be like removing half of your own self. Webshots is almost blind to quality, but we are a small community of memebers inside Webshots who love, admire and enjoy this part of your work! Personally, I disagree with your way of thinking as I look upon it as a loss of interesting, beautiful, creative and informative work of great quality! Please, THINK IT OVER! Gabriela

  • Very beautiful Album Jacques, I too remember many of these photos. You have put a lot of your self into this album and it shows. Your lighting is awesome, the inside pictures are perfectly taken and exposed. Beautiful photos of a fantastic place and you have captured it so well. I would dearly love to see one of your great works featured. You work so hard to put a good album on. It would make my day so much better to see this or any of your albums in the featured section..Wake up Webshots! This is powerful stuff. God bless and keep you Pierre and Jacques. Marianne

  • Bonjour Jacques ! A bientôt, amitiés, Chantal
