Lol at the Sasquatch road safety sign , and the stone sheep one looks like a funky comic book. Interesting hobby you have, defiantly an original one, keep it up.

Heyla Terry, funny album! Saw some of those signs on my visit to parts of the US and Canada, but missed the Sasquatch one <grin>. Did you know we've got toad xings here in our country. Hanna, Amsterdam NL

Enjoyed these road crossing signs but I know of one you don't seem to have come across just yet....a 'marmot crossing' sign up the road out of Aspen CO toward the Maroon Bells.

What's the illegal mexicans crossing sign all about? I realize they sneak across but how is that a danger for us? Are we being warned so we won't run them over or something? I don't get it. LOL Ida

Well I am happy you appreciated that I wrote you my critical notes on the 8700. I just did not want to spoil all your fun and on the other hand i wanted to warn you in time. As you know speed from a slr and the noiselessless from the G3; it may be difficult for you. If my warning makes you decide earlier if you want ty keep it after buying, I think it was worth the trouble writing it to you. You may also want to make a deal with the shop that you can bring it back after 10 days or so. I was amazed at the number of non-positive remarks for the 8800 on the Nikon Forum of www.dpreview.com. When I bought my 8700, I was one of the first there to complain about its speed. Then I found out that on these forums there are specific brand lovers: so do not say something negative about Nikon. That surprised me, as we are all consumers... And I feel, as long as you do not own a specific set of lenses and just an owner of a prosumer/compact you are as free as a bird... Happy shooting! Anna

Hi Terry. Thanks for your kind words. The crispness of my photos is also increased with Photoshop. I surely hope you will be very happy with your new playmate Nikon 8800. I sure hope she does not disappoint you. Because the 8700 is doing me now in some ways. The most important thing is its sluggishness (GRRRRRRR!!!), the autofocus which does not really behave well when the light is not sublime, and the noise. The unzoomed files are also .8 megabyte (nearly ONE!!) smaller than the Canon Pro1: not exceeding 2.5 MB. The flash is useless too. The red beam which assist the autofocus is hated by kids and grown ups and startles them. I can not show you photos of their startledness as the camera is too slow.... On dpreview I could not find anything about speed when comparing it with the 8700. And Terry you ARE spoiled; because you are coming from the G3 which is a fast? (I do not know that) but anyway noiseless machine. So try your new 8800 out very well and decide quickly..... When I bought the 8700 there was not yet something like Times and sizes on the reviews in Dpreview. See if you can find something on its speed as compared to the 8700.. Hope I do not spoil your sense of coming happiness because of the camera... But be critical... I the 2 of you go well together...OK!! If you like me to keep you informed on new albums of mine, drop me a mail at anna.cor@tiscali.nl Greetings Anna Oldenhave, The netherlands
