    • More terrific pics, guys! Any more wide-pics? Hutch, This may be the only I can get through to you. Sometimes "reply" to email works, but I'm never sure. Dave will be here to fix at end of month. Hugs!

    • This was one of the more picturesque hikes we have taken in the San Gabriel Mountains. We went deep into the interior to get to the Pacific Crest Trail head at Mill Creek Campground. The trail wound around to the north and on ridge trail summit we had 360 degree vistas the pictures could never re-capture. Especially nice was the clearness of the day over the desert affording spectacular views of the Mojave Desert, Death Valley, Palmdale and Edwards AFB, and the sawtooth peaks of the southern Sierras way in the distance. The PCT wound precipitously toward an intersection five miles into the hike at a fireroad that would take us another mile to the top where the scenery was magnificent. All along the way we could hear the "sonic-booms& quot; probably from the Stealth aircraft based at Edwards. The boulder strewn top of Mt. Pacifico was very pretty and a wholly enjoyable area just to sit, eat a sandwich, and relax. Lovely place for the two of us to share. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed this hike.
