Hello Suresh. I am quickly becoming more and more fond of the USA, following my recent Easter trip to New Mexico and last summer's trip to Nevada, Utah and Wyoming, BUT Italy is the LOVE of my life. I never tire of seeing photos of my favourite European country. I have visited this album before but I have enjoyed my visit today as much as when I was here last. Your photos are excellent and a joy to view. You really have a gift, indeed I cannot compliment you enough. Thanks for the kind things which you say about my pics. Enjoy the rest of the week. Kind regards, Jayne/England

Hi Suresh. Loved seeing Tuscany through your camera lens. Having lived in Rome for 4 years and endless holidays to Italy over the years I have travelled to many parts and regions of the country. Italy is without a doubt my favourite European country. For me, nowhere else compares to the beauty that I have seen there. I remember my very first trip to Italy, I was 18years old and working in Belgium at the time. With a friend we hitch hiked from Belgium, via Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and into Italy. Lake Como, Milan, Florence, Pisa, Roma, Naples, Capri, Positano and Amalfi were just a few of the places we stayed in. The one which impressed me the most was FLORENCE. I just fell in love with the city. Thanks for the memories. Well we'll be leaving for New Mexico, USA in 2 weeks, so in case I don't have the time to visit again, I'll take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Easter. Take care. Kind regards, Jayne x

Suresh, I could repeat all of the same things others have been writing in your album guestbook. You know how I feel about your photography (ART), but I feel very honored in sharing your glory (inadvertently). I was very honored when you wrote me to let me know about our shared feature, but my feature watercolor is not the grand works in that masterful album. Your works expose the person inside of you, I'm glad so many people in here, travel to all the places you take photo's of, now I know when I travel (via your camera lens), to all the places your eyes have seen, I share the road with many other's in here. I would like the world to know, the pictures depict the man. I am so blessed to know my painting rests so close to you.. It has found it's way home...and that I was able to see tuscany with you, what a treat! Enjoy your day my friend,, your good friend, Melody

Words can't express what I felt when I saw your Tuscany pics. A region already beautiful has been captured so beautifully that it is beyond words. I am a fellow Indian who is physically disabled. I yearn to see all these places and I can't. But today after seeing your photos I felt as if I have toured Tuscany myself. I would just like to mention that if you get a chance to see a film called 'Under the Tuscan Sun', then don't miss it. It stars Diane Lane and Tuscany can be seen in all her glory in this film. I wish you all the best and do keep posting photos of places you visit. Bipin, Maharashtra, India.

Dear Suresh, Excellent album on a wonderful region; You have captured at perfection the spirit of this attracting part of Italy; All the photos are interesting; Did you know that Piazza del Campo in Siena was designed by Michael Angelo on the model of a scallop shell to collect rain waters (as perfectly shown in your photo 12)? We have visited Tuscany for the second time this summer after our delicious trip in French Corsica Bella Island (I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU THE VISIT IN MAY OR JUNE, IT IS INCREDIBLE OF BEAUTY!!!); I have begun slides conversion last week on 1998 USA trip; Results are so poor in front of slides quality; Conversion brings black pixels (not dust but high frequencies pixels) in the skies and if you remove them with a noise reduction tool, image is strongly blurred so I tried to remove them one by one with a clone tool; I am not expert in that but you can see the results on the 36 images added to USA album (on pfjc2); Cheers, Jacques

Dear Suresh. Concerning this album: my compliments, these photos are pure jewels. I love this part of Italy and looking at your album has been a great pleasure. Concerning my mini-cars albums, I'm happy to know that you appreciate this "publicity&q uot; idea, because the purpose (I mean the main purpose) was really to please any of you. I've been enjoying digital pictures and collecting them for many years now and the ones made by professional photograpers was the first reason why I joined Webshots. Then this Italian guy (Ruggero) who quickly became a fellow introduced me to this huge and friendly community. Since this day and thanks to him, I've just realised than a picture could be more than another image in my growing collection of anonymous photos. To know that there is somebody (who is not anonymous any more) behind the picture is something that let the image be even more interesting. That's why I have so much pleasure to look at what you do (any of you all around the world) and to know that I'm not anonymous any more on this planet thanks to you. This album and the comments I wrote are there to express this. Concerning what you say about how people react (in western countries) when you want to have pictures of them, I'm not surprised at all. You've just focused on one of the reasons (I mean one of the many reasons) why I'm getting mad with our society, more and more every day. I've always had a lot of sympathy for foreign cultures when they care about human relations and when they try to resist against the profits and benefits Leitmotives of our industrial empire. Please, protect yourself against this disease. Let your culture and your way of life always exists, whatever rich countries leaders will decide. And continue to take good pictures of people, for our pleasure. ps: Ruggero, a few other ones and I, have recently joined a new community: renderosity.com. Come there, my indian friend, this is an interesting place...

Hi Suresh!! We must be some some kind of soulmates. I do remember that you just started when I found you.. But did you know I started digital photography around february 2003.... My bread album I consider to be my first album; only then the hobby hit me hard....At that time I did not know anything about digital photography and photoshop etc. There are 2 albums before my bread album: one : California is made by my husband when he bought the camera for me in the USA. FLOWERS is a kind of mix of some random photos... It is different; it is not a whole...I was never really proud of these photo's...; but I hate deleting.. but I should.. So I really got started in february 2003. Before that I looked at THOUSANDS of photos on Webshots... I downloaded tons of them and put them as screensavers on my PC (which is standing in the living room) First the galleries and later also community photos. Looking at work of other did taught me a lot.. You just get a feeling when things form a good compostion....Greetings Anna

Hi Suresh!!! Thank you for your kind message. I agree with you that ws is just a tool and as such, I have decided that although it is too bad that the staff fails to do anything about the concerns that the community has....still a puzzle....it is not uncommon. My own company, altho manned by many caring compassioante people, the customer service seems to be some of the worst. Sometimes when companies become too large, the machine unwittingly ties the hands of the ones closest to the public. I am afraid my lack of posting is being interpretted as my 'sadness' for the way ws has changed....but it is in actuallity, just me being too busy to capture anything worth sharing. Work is killing me! To me, ws is still the best tool for the purpose. Believe me, I have looked around, joined a few others, but ws still has it hands down for versatility. I was using it for a long time before I was featured the first time...before that it was a tool...I had no idea there was such a community. Then I met you all and now I have many friends world wide...that I would have never known otherwise. It was a bonus! Now I am still here...I actually renewed my membership. I have been through many ups and downs in my life and while this was disappointing , I think it is just a phase. Everyone is searching for the same thing...a bit of heaven on earth...joy in this difficult world. We accidentally tripped over each other here in this place....we were as children...happy and smiling. But now. as I see it, we have grown up and branched out like little birds flying from the nest. And still having each other as families do when they go their separate ways to seek adventure. The nucleus of the family remains strong. :o)b So you can rest assured, that I will be posting here for some time to come. If you check in with me once and a while, you will most likely see what I am up to!!! I still love sharing what my eye captures and once in a while someone will discover my albums and they will light their day. OK...I guess I've bent your ear enough!! LOL Please don't stop posting! I love to see the world through you eyes!! It's like a world tour on a Barbara budget!!!! hugs! Barbara

Ciao Suresh and THANKS for this gift! Looking at beauty of my country with your great eyes in this sad days for our community is a true pleasure for me! I reduced my visits in this site because I'm tired and sad, but find your shots it was like a flower in a desert.... this is the community (not webshots).... friends from all the world that share beauty. So my COMPLIMENTS.... great shots with a perfect composition and the saturated colors that I LOVE; I appreciate your windows, but also landscapes and others details of cities are really good. I see also that you enjoyed or fine wines; I'm interested in wines (I'm a not-professional sommelier), so I'm Happy that in Italy you received pleasure for eyes and also for ... palate! Good choice! Have a NICE week ! Ruggero

I just returned from the US after spending two months with my kids and grand kids in Chicago & New York. My daughter's and son's sons kept me busy all day and night!! Photographed them all the time - hence nothing else to offer!! It's been hardly a week that I left them and I'm missing them both (one year old each) terribly. Have a look at them in my albums. Hi Suresh, I think I am in love with Tuscany, what a wonderful place, the architecture is in a league of its own. I chose a few photos as favorites but they only represent a few. #'s 1, 14, 28, 52, and 56, are just wonderful. I think #43 looks like a painting, it is unique and gorgeous, I downloaded it for my desktop, and will enjoy it and think of Tuscany and you! Thank you for choosing us as a favorite, that is so sweet. I am going to juggle someone and add you to our fav list, I don't want to miss any of your albums. Hi Suresh, Your photos took me on a little nostalgic tour of my owm, having visited the Tuscana region of Italy myself. Your picture of Sienna were especially evocative for me because, while I haven't been to every corner in the world, in my humble opinion the piazza del Campo is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is especially so at sunset when the receding rays of the sun turn the houses surrounding the piazza golden. The cup shape of the piazza that slopes downwards towards Palazzo Public really just gives the place such an expansive feeling. Again, in my humble opinion, Sienna is one of more under-estimated attraction in the Tuscana. Same for San Gigmiano. Great pictures and thanks for taking me back to a more innocent time! Hi Suresh. I do so look forward to your tours. You take such professional quality photos that bring me into the lands you visit, lands that I may never see for myself. You have a way of drawing me into your photos, like the alleys and archways, that it's the next best thing to being there. Who'd have thought that such a variety of sizes and colors of shutters could be so interesting to look at?! My favorite is the flower box at Lucca. The public squares make me want to join the crowds and stroll around. I hope I don't embarrass you, but you really have an excellent eye for composition and detail that make your photos so enjoyable! I like the photo in San Gimignano of the double arched windows under an arch with the flowers hanging over the (brick?) rail. 'An interesting door and courtyard at Lucca' has such character to it; I wanted to go in. Do you suppose IHS is a monogram for Jesus? -- perhaps they are just the initials of the owner. The villa looks so simple yet elegant, and so relaxing. It's interesting to see that many archways continue inside and look so appealing that there really is no need for much decorating on the walls. 'Arcade leading to Ponte Vecchio' is another example of appealing archways (I like the bird standing in the middle!). WOW, 'A small villa near Casciana Terme' looks like a painting where so much beauty was crammed onto one canvas!! I just love it. 'Market day at Ponsacco' and the grapes in #47 made me hungry. I hope you got to enjoy the tastes of Tuscany. The waterways in Florence are so beautiful. Thank you, Suresh. Your photography efforts are very much appreciated. Warm regrads, Nancy

Oh Suresh, I'm so happy! I just came home to find you have a new album that I can look forward to viewing tomorrow when I'm alert and can savor each one. I just went through a quick slideshow, but I already know there are many photos I can't wait to examine more closely. Good night for now. God bless you. Nancy
