What a wonderful trip, Peter! I almost feel as if I've visited in person. Loved the wild waves of the river in a storm, the old brick building and well, and those strange rock formations at the beginning. Your amazing wreath flower made me curious to know more about it and why it grows only in such a limited area. I wonder if it would grow here in our desert? Thanks for the journey! Hi Pete. Thankyou for spending what must have been about two weeks looking at my "Easter Long Weekend" album. Do you have broadband?. This album is a goodie mate. I like the churches and the pelicans always get me in and you have some great shots of them. The "Canola" ; photo on the last page is a ripper. Well done young feller. Your Mate Al...

Thanks for the tour and letting us share your kalbarri Holiday. That wreath of flowers was certainly worth the drive to see, (at least it was worth it for you to drive and me to see). Beautiful they were. Also your seascape photo is stunning. Thanks so much for letting me take a peek in to your life and times. Oh, nice photo of Betty. Lorrie

Hi Peter! Such a rich collection, so various aspects of this part of your country. Many of them are so interesting that we are tempted to ask: "how does it come that..." - Thanks for this exceptional show. Thank you also for your kind remarks for our Dragonflies! With best wishes from (also retired people(male: geologist)living in SW France): Kaethi and Henri

Hi Peter, WOW that Osprey is a wonderful bird and a super picture you have there too. Tha Ospreys at Bassenthwaite in the Lake District have two lovely chicks this year that are doing well, their nest is huge too. You know how I love my wild flowers too and that wreath flower is quite something I would drive all that way just to see it too. Hope you are doing OK Hope to catch you tomorrow Love and Hugs now Jill PS That a smashing picture of Betty :o)

Peter this is fantastic....absolutely wonderfu your country!!! I was in love with Australia long time ago but since I see your pictures coming in time to time I am fascinated more and more. And you are a wonderful narrator it is like walking with you everywhere and enjoying the wonders of that blessed land. Unfortunately for now I think it will be difficult to hop over tha Pacific from California, but with your photos at least part of my dream is satisfied. Thanks and a big hug/kathy

Wow Peter I love this one, several of these pictures through up some surprises, What for instance is Canola, is it some kind of Rape seed, And those Wreath flowers are very unusual, but I think the crashing wave from anot very rough sea says all about the power of the Oceans, Great album OLD fellow, keep it up, thanks as usual for the kind words, for my humble photo's, but I have a long way to go to match your expertise, keep well and look after that young lady of yours, the Young un from the Fens

Hi Pete. As usual I can't remember what's new but I do like numbers 6 and 7. As I mentioned last time the pelicans are great and I just downloaded the canola crops. What a beautiful yellow it is. You pointed me to a homepage with great sunrises and sunsets. You were dead right when you said I'd like them. Catch you later mate. Cheers Al..

Hi Peter! Guess you will soon be planning another wildflower tour for Spring. The colourful Canola fields make such a stunning shot and I love that beautiful Wreath Leschenaultia. Good shot of the leaning Tree, such a shame there are so few of them left now compared to back in the late 1940's when I first travelled up that way. Best wishes to you and Betty.. Gladys.

HOwzat Peter, Wow looks like a magic holiday. Great scenery as usually WA has, unfortunately didn't have time in our trip to get into Kalbarri although we did have a plan to use an RCI, but used family( on my husbands side) instead. Cheaper, you know! We saw a great deal of the WA but not enough time, which means we will just have to come back, no worries there!!!! Anyway, you asked a few ??'s so I thought I would just answer them quickly. I have at least another year in Bahrain and no don't like it much, but oh well. I am not allowed to work which in some respects is nice but then its hard to find a boredom killer, although I am very thankful for webshots as it does help pass the time away. Thanks again for taking the time to view and comment, always appreciated. Really enjoyed this album as Oz is a beautiful continent to explore for the foreigner (like me), and well love the diverse scenery and mad wildlife it has to offer. THanks for sharing and wishing you all the best and smiles always, amy

By the way, I found out that pelicans are much bigger in person than i thought, when I went up to Monkey Mia and did the whole amazing Dolphin thing I was amazing at just how BIG the pelicans were that were standing on the beach! Impressive! Cheers, amy

Hello Peter,I know I'd viewed this one before but somehow hadn't commented at the time,a lovely album from your holiday to Kalbarri. The scenery is beautiful and so different from ours over here in Devon,I really liked those colourful roadside flowers, not sure what Canola is but it makes a welcome splash of yellow in a landscape.I'm assuming the addition was the scanned portrait of you and Betty at the end,but I enjoyed the whole album anyway.Still hot over here, higher eighties most days,Regards,Rod.

Hello Peter, Thanks for sharing this album of wonderful images of Kalbarri. The area is so like areas in South Africa, I could almost smell that dry, red soil. Those long, straight roads that seem to go on forever are very familiar, too! A very interesting album, thank you for sharing it. Thank you for your kind message in my album - much appreciated! Take care both of you... Hugs, Mandy

Hi Peter, a very interesting album. The pelicans and osprey are great, and I like the flowers, especially the wreath flower. That is most unusual. What really do it for me are the rocks. They are splendid. The Murchison River winding its way through the rocky landscape is very dramatic. Pot Alley looks a good place to be. I also love the photos of Island Rock, Red Bluff and Nature's Window. Thanks for sharing your lovely landscapes. I have a new album of the Herts Way, if you'd like to take a look. Love Pam
