Thank you AMCCloud for having posted these wonderful pictures. I am a Mohawk and am heading to the Museum for the first time this upcoming Memorial Day weekend 2007. I now look forward to seeing all these wonderful sites in person. You've whetted my appetite! Thanks again. Dawn

Great set of native pic's enjoyed the slide show! Steve Martin kahnawake, quebec The Mohawk Nation Akwek:on Tekhwanonkwerat:on Greetings to Our Proud People Kahnawake traces its roots from the Mohawk village of Ossernenon on the banks of the Mohawk River in what is now known as New York State. Ossernenon, or Kahnawake, as it was later called, was the Eastern Door of the Longhouse of the Five Nations. Mohawk travellers and hunters from this area re-asserted Iroquois rights along the St. Lawrence River by establishing an Indian community at Kentake, near la Prairie de la Magdelaine, Quebec in 1667. Our present community dates from 1716. Kahnawake, in the Mohawk language means "On the Rapids". Kahnawake's free spirit now faces the future with a determination and self confidence born of centuries-old tradition.

Dear AMCCLOUD; My son is 1/2 American Indian and he is in jail. He met this woman and felt sorry for her and took her in. She ripped him off stole his clothes, 9-drawer dresser, DVD, VCR, and $600. She created a fight with him and kicked him repeated below the belt with her platform boots, so he picked up a bat to defend himself from her kicks and they got him for attempted murder but he was not trying to kill her but keep her away from him, he had bruises on his stomach, and hands, he got a felony out of it he has to serve 9 months with 6 months on good behavior he gets out in April, the girl lied to the police to prevent her going back to jail, and he has never done anything before, he had a clean record before he met her. My son has always had a heart for hurting people, and He enjoys all Indian pictures could you please send him some his name is Bobby Dale Owen Jr. 1679176, Lerdo Pre-trail Facility, 17695 Industrial Farm Road, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Any and all help would be appreciated, he especially likes dream catchers. Thanks again and I love your pictures. franniebaumann007a@yahoo. com

Hello Friend, That is a very complete and instructive album on Indian People, their fascinating art and their fabulous clothing; My preferred pictures are the five first one and picture 3 should be my master piece; I am going to post an album on this subject with totem poles and Indian art seen in North-West America from Washington State to Alaska including British Columbia, Vancouver island, and Alberta Calgary Stampede where many Indian Nations are presented; Congratulations and thanks, Jacques CLEMENT Paris FRANCE
