from a canadian point of vu, it was a great place to go, food was excellent animators also ,lots of activities, party and the beach was perfect. from the e mail that i have read, americans seems to not be appreciated in thoses places just like in cuba i honnestly think that americans do not respect thoses places, thinks that the owned the place and there are alowed to do everything.. but that just m'I opinion.;)

Punta Cana and the Hotel Occidental Flamenco Bavaro is the most beautiful place to relax and enjoy our vacations. We will return the next year at the same hotel.

We were there in Feb.2002 and my husband hurt himself on the stairs going down to the bathroon at the pool bar and we were treated just terrible by the customer service manager.The Manager of the hotel was equally as rude to us, my husband spented 5 days in bed and he was in alot of pain and we also spend a day at the hospital which i must say they were great to us, nothing to do with the hotel i might add our insurance paid for it all so if you go to this hotel please be careful the service was terrible.I also email them and asked for a oceanview room and that was 4 months before we went and i got a reply and they said they would be glad to take care of these needs and they didn't honor it at all i had the email with me and it didn't matter. I was told by the travel agent that they were the worst hotel management staff to deal with On it's good points the food was great and the beach was perfect.
