I shall look them up on the internet and have a good read!! Very old obviously...and WOW that beautiful Ice Plant!! There are just soo many amazing flowers over there, and they just blow me away!! That was lovely also with the dolphins and looks like you had a few cloudy days!! I just loved the photo Shells and also Changing Light with that stunning black tree in the foreground!! Wonderful gatherings of wildflowers running in an out amongst the oxide red earth!! I LOVE the colors of the earth with the beauty of the flowers above!! Such a stunning contrast!! Thanks soo much for sharing this album of beauty with us all, as we sure do appreciate it Gladyds!! You are a treasure!! Take care..and have a really great day!! • Hi Gladys, thanks for looking at those day photos of that cactus and those steel trees. I think we do every effort of get beauty in our pictures and so we seem to miss things. When my daughter and her husband came back from their honeymoon, they had a lot of pictures with all kind of wires, and my daughter said' that it wouldn't be the same without it. That's when I began to notice more and more of those motives. Today before work I had some minutes and arrived straight to the picture you sent me a shortcut from! After work I got your shortcut! Isn't that nice? I was so pleased about that picture, because it shows the flowers after the high point of it's glory - and is still a great picture! Today I went through this one! A beautiful collection! I like the pelicans especially #204! ...#193 Back on Bitumen, ....#195, #197 and that glorious early morning picture #200. Further #226,229,234,235,237,254, 258 gorgeous!, 279 and 280! Most of the plants I have never ever seen, but I've heard about 'Everlastings' they are so beautiful! Have a great day! - Galit

  • Beautiful Gladys and you know we must have been around Kalbarri at the same time to catch the flowers that we did. We, too, had some cloudy days and torrential rain at nights. I was comparing your photos of Hawkshead with mine and they were obviously taken from the exact same spot and focused identically, so we must both have similar eyes for what makes a photo. We didn't get to Monkey Mia this time but it looks to be as good as ever. Remind me to send you a sunset that my grandson took while they were there earlier this year. Peter

  • Good morning dear Gladys. What a fantastic album this is!! I so enjoyed my virtual and educational trip. Your photos are excellent as always. We, as webshot members, are so lucky to have you in Australia to share your lovely world with us all. My husband grew up in Australia and would love us to return one day for a holiday. Who knows, I may get to see these sights for myself. In the meantime, I have your albums to visit. Take care. Luv n'hugs Jayne, West Midlands, UK. :) xx

  • Hello Gladys, I can never tire of your wonderful wildflower photos. As always you mix travel to interesting places with information and these marvelous little Aussie flowers. Wonderful. To solve the Sour Fig question. We know them as Pig Face (Heaven knows why), but the Sydney Botanic Gardens identify them as Sour Fig, a native of South Africa. So named because the flesh is edible and can be made into a jam that tastes like fig, but is sour. Peter was challenging my name; I can't get much past Peter. Cheers, Keith.

  • Hello Gladys and it was good to browse this album of yours once again and be reminded of some of the pleasant times we have had in some of these places. Also, of course, many thanks for your entry in my Chittering Valley guest book. The weather we've been having lately has been absolutely perfect for photo taking hasn't it - beautiful clear days and that lovely freshness that we always get after some good rains. It seemed a pity not to take advantage of it which is one of the reasons we took ourselves off out that way for a day. Tomorrow is Betty's birthday so we are planning another similar day - I just jump in the driver's seat and let the car take us where it will!! Best wishes, Peter

  • Magnificent scenery pictures, Gladys. Beautiful these red rocks shown in the first pictures of Murchison river. And I like the ones of the feeding of the dolphins. The Beach scene picture of the pelican (37)is also very cute. Furthermore I like nr. 49 very much and the Everlastings (73) which I downloaded. I found the pictures of Hamelin Pool with its stromatolites very interesting so I sought the background info on the internet to understand more about this phenomenon. It is really amazing to view this sort of wildlife, and I understand it is still growing! Thanks Gladys, I had a great time viewing these pictures. Thanks also for your comment on my Background album. It is very much appreciated. Have a nice day, friendly regards, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Hi Gladys! Was so nice to hear from you down under. Sounds like you've had a cooler December this year. Do you have a wood stove? I've been to see "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" and enjoyed watching "Lord Of The Rings," extended version on my DVD player. Awesome movies that were filmed in beautiful New Zealand! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments in my guest book, and wishing you and your loved ones a Christams filled with joy, love, peace, and hope! Always, Colleen and Kristina, my daughter.
