  • Ronald Regan never said "If you've seen one Redwood, you've seen them all." But, he did say some incredibly stupid things about them, for which he should long be remembered : 12 March 1966, "I mean, if you've looked at a hundred thousand acres or so of trees — you know, a tree is a tree, how many more do you need to look at?" 15 March 1967, "I saw them; there is nothing beautiful about them, just that they are a little higher than the others."
