Hello April, thankyou for your kind words on my Clouds & Sky album. I have viewed a few of your albums, Trees & Landscapes naturally & the old Estate album, all very enjoyable. This one is gorgeous, all those old buildings & you have even put a carousel horse in! We once had a carver/restorer from NY lecturing on a cruise we were on, quite facinating. Our nearest town was the home of the Savage foundry that revolutionised carousel building in late 1800's. We still have a "mart" in february where all the showmen gather to open the season before travelling round UK. Eric

Hello April, Greetings from Corvallis! Yes Oregon and Vermont share many beautiful, similar attributes. The Walloomsac Inn is NOT abondoned, it's a private residence. It should be renovated. It's a revolutionary war era Inn, that has hosted the likes of Thomas Jefferson. It NEEDS to be restored before it falls down. Your albums of Oregon and of Salem are superb. Corvallis and Albany have thier share of historic buildings. If you'd like a tour sometime let me know. Randyincv@yahoo.com

Ah now I want to visit Salem. Thank you for sharing your photos, I enjoyed your albums very much. From what I see of what you like to see, you may love a visit to downtown San Luis Obispo, California, with its many old and quaint buildings (see the vintage Freemont Theatre, the mission and surrounding area) - and bring your camera! You have captured the true essence and wonderful charm that Salem provides to the many passerbys: local and tourist alike. I love the perspectives that you displayed here. A pleasure to view, thanks for sharing and wish you all the best and a happy day, amy

Dear Quirky, I too thank you for visiting my site and thank you for the compliments. I didn't know if you like to be critiqued or not but I do have some suggestions to improve your photographic techniques. The edges, pay attention to the edges. Remember the basic image is a rectangle and no more. Also, don't try to fill space but rather create space. Think about it. I think you have a talent and spunk for good image making. Keep it up and we appreciate your enthusiasm. Love Hepschlep

This is another great album. I love to see old historic buildings and their grand architecture. I think they are so much more interesting than the modern steel and glass buildings we see today. Tons of more character. Keep shooting those great shots. Peace and Love. Donna/Missouri

Beautiful album. I don't think I've been to Salem since I was a kid. Thanks for your comments this morning. Strange you did since I was thinking about you and looking for old vintage Hollywood pics last night to work on.

Hi April, I just love historic buildings, no matter where they are. I also love to know that historic buildings have been preserved, and to see the proof. Your album is a treasure, a documentary on the preservation of some quite stunning architecture. Beautiful photos, I thank you for your efforts and good work. Best wishes from Keith in Sydney.

Hi April, yes the address is fine, same one I've been using since I've been a memeber of this site. Try it again or copy it from the site and superimpose it onto your standard email. Its strange to me that it wouldn't come through. Anyway, I'm glad I could help. Hmmmmmm, a first in your GB's for this album. This has happened four times in the last two months. You've caught quite a few old buildings in Salem, lots more I suspect still waiting for your camera. Luck in finding same. The Statesman/Journal might have the 'old buildings' information you might want to seek or contact the Tourist Center, wherever that is. Lots of old buildings in the Salem area. Had an aunt and uncle years ago that had an old, old house near the end of Brush College Rd in West Salem, but that house is no longer available, had a small lake on the property and we could see most of Salem from the property's elevation. Take care and try the address again. Ron
