  • Gladys, you not only take beautiful pictures, you really know your flowers! Thank you so much for identifying the Oleander in my Outer Banks album. After checking the Wikipedia photo, I googled Oleander and North Carolina and got plenty of hits. You nailed it! BTW, many of my favorite evergreens are poisonous: rhododendron, mountain laurel, and English laurel, among others. In your garden, I am fascinated by the Green Kangaroo Paws -- I've never seen anything like them! Thanks for introducing me to them. Best wishes to you, SJ Abrams in Virginia, USA

  • Hello Gladys, many thanks for the gb on my summer fields album. The "tram" lines are made by the spray contractors, thankfully we are having rather less of that now & that is why there are more poppies about. This garden of yours looks very colourfull & you are lucky to grow tropical flowers as well as our typically English ones. We had paw paw in the gdn when I lived in Africa for a short time, we do not see it on sale in the supermarkets over here, not enough demand I suppose. Eric

  • Hi Gladys, thank you so much for your lovely comments in our guestbook. We are so glad you enjoyed the photos. Seems we have exactly the same interests, photography, gardening and animals. Just love these shots of your garden, the are just beautiful. Here Mike is the photographer and Barbara the gardener, it makes a great combination. Do drop by and visit our garden albums. By the way, Buckfastleigh is just 20 miles down the road from us. Barbara & Mike (Devon)

  • Hi Gladys - you certainly are a talented photographer as you are green fingered - a spectular presentation of colour, hard work and a load of TLC. Thanks for sharing your superb works of art with us. Best wishes, Sue in Johannesburg, SA.

  • Hello Gladys, I noticed you had a picture of Paw Paw. Do you have any receipes for Paw Paw? I heard of a dish from the south here in USA called Snot N PawPaw. Any ideas? I have asked hundreds of people :) If you do have an idea email me, please. vixen_is@hotmail.com Thanks!

  • Congratulations for the great albums and the 100,000 views but there was no date as to when it happened. I am at 90,924 views as of today, and that's only since I was featured on march 7th when I was at 12,000. It is such a good feeling to have our photography viewed and anjoyed and admired by fellow clickers. Keep up the good work!***Angele***Canada!

  • Hello Gladys, A beautiful pair of wild iris here, real nice color too. Thanks for your return on my email about the two flowers I sent...found the reddish pinks to be azaleas, a very large plant, possibly pushing a hundred years of growth here; found a picture of one in one of my books in the later portion of the day. The person who collected all these flowers brought back all kinds of fauna and flowers from all over the world, transplanting all into his garden, which is now the State Park, which is why I thought maybe you could possibly ID them. Well, I'll ask maintenance if they might have a line on such a flower as this one. I just DON'T like to post any kinds of flowers without first knowing the name, if you know what I mean?! Thanks again for trying. A nice album you've posted here. Best Regards. Ron/Oregon Coast

  • Hello and good evening Gladys. Thank you so much for inviting me to your garden. It is delightful, very pretty and landscaped so neatly. And as you told me, it is all your own work. So, well done to you - I am very impressed!!You have a wonderful selection of flowers. I was surprised at just how many are familiar to me. One flower I did not recognize was the Pride of Madeira. What an unusual flower. Thanks for the reminder of sunny days. As you can imagine, our winter is fast approaching....brrrrr. Take care dear friend and enjoy your beautiful garden. Luv n'hugs Jayne, West Midlands, UK. :) xx

  • Hi Gladys! Nice album! Green Kangaroo Paws 2 and the yellow gazania of 91 are my favourites. Lucky you to be living "downunder&q uot; ... here the weather is gloomy, rainy, snowy or 'haily'... Not the weather I like best.... Greetings and have a fine summer. Anna, Holland: "downunder&q uot; from your perspective...

  • Gladys: I am back on line after our move and have just viewed this new album. It is wonderful!!! Love the pansys and there are some new flowers for me the Primulas are one. I have put several photos in my albums but for some reason they don't come up when you click on to send a photo message. Just get a box with red x. Webshots has not told me what the problem is yet. Oh, well the photos are there for anyone who likes bright sunsets, fall colors and a few flowers. I love your albums. You take such wonderful picutures. I have several set as my wallpaper so can enjoy them often. Keep up the good work and keep in touch. Kay

  • WOW you HAVE been busy but well worth it because this is a superb album with every photo a winner. Those Pink Primulas (and the rainy ones) and all the pansies are great. Such a variety. But no daffodils! No room I imagine! Your lawn's looking good considering we haven't had all that much rain and those winter snowflakes are nice too - we have masses of those. A great, colourful album. Well done. Peter
