CIAO Mike.... in primo luogo desidero ringraziarti per il bellissimo messaggio che hai lasciato nel guestbook del mio ultimo album. Sinceramente è uno dei piu' belli che abbia mai ricevuto sia perche' sento che anche tu, come me, hai desiderio di sole e colori, sia perche' hai centrato in pieno quello che volevo realizzare...giocare con 2/3 colori di base per ricavare foto semplici, ma che comunicassero una cosa sola: ESTATE. L'altra cosa che desidero fare è farti i miei complimenti per questa tua collezione; anche questa e' ESTATE e lo e' nel migliore modo possibile. Luoghi meravigliosi, colori semplici, ma vivi, atmosfere senza tempo. Le foto sono tutte belle, ma come gia' avevo notato in passato, Tu sei bravissimo nel catturare le persone ed i momenti semplici della loro giornata. Foto che hanno davvero qualcosa da dire a differenza dei soliti banali paesaggi che tutti ammirano, ma che sono fini a se stessi. Applaudo quindi alla foto 18 con quell'incredibile equilibrista, alle due generazioni nella 30 ed al vecchio ed il mare nella 32 (uno scatto se vuoi classico, ma sempre bellissimo). Hi Mike, you're not sop bad yourself! Ans as to making pictures of people: it is indeed very awarding, but the prevent problems you can try and talk to your subjects before you start clicking away. Often people even give their consent just after you ask (showing your camera, for instance) their permission. In Sicily people are very picture happy, I had to discard a lot of pictures because the people immediately starting 'posing'. But there are countries where people have religious reasons to refuse to be made pictures of. And then again: a long telelens will help greatly], too... My Fujifilm S5000 has standard a 35 mm equivalent of 360 mm zoom. I use it a lot, of course.

Dear 'Swissmike", I have happened on one of your albums of Paris, and felt as if you captured the photos "in my mind" of that wonderful city. Your style of composition with strong contrasting lines and texture, saturated color, and fine detail push each image from your mind to your heart! I find when I travel and do photography that it is exactly these details that bring the place home with you as a great "souvenir&qu ot;! I was so impressed, that I have systematically gone through your every album in the last 12 hours! Originally a New Yorker, I lost alot of my photograhs due to water damage ( the joys of Florida hurricanes) and your images really made me feel I was looking at my own memories again. I have also been in Vienna, Paris, Greece, and have wonderful memories of adventures and people and sights there. Only wish you had an album of everywhere I've been, so I could relive them all. Do you have any albums of Switzerland, or fasnacht... (I spent time in Basel). Are you a professional photographer or graphic artist? The quality of your photos would suggest that!! I am a pyschologist, so for me, travel and photography are hobbies. Thanks for these images and I wonder as I am about to buy a new digital camera, what you would recommend.
