  • Ciao Amy. Here I am in bella ROMA. Just wanted you to know that thanks to your photo #34 of the "Angel who Watches" I have been able to photograph a similar shot. I am soooo pleased. Thank you very much. Having a wonderful time here. I had forgotten what Italian food tastes like - everything is just sooooo delicious. Everything has soooo much flavour. In comparison back home in England our food is tasteless. Enjoying the local wine too. Keeping busy; visiting friends, soaking up the sun on the beach, excursions into the countryside and stopping by hilltop towns and frequent trips into Rome. Well I must get on with my sightseeing here in Rome. There is sooo much to see and photograph, as you will agree. Hope you are well. Have a good holiday and please dont forget to let me know when you'll be back on line. Ciao e tantissimi baci. Jayne/ITALY xx

  • I'm going to smack your wrists, get your head up girl, be proud and say to yourself. stuffit, I 'm not making my self ill over some god forsaken hole like this. Easier said than done but give it a kick and you will be surprised that things will seem better. I remember when we were in the Persian gulf in 1961 during June, July and August, no A/c on the ships in those days, and we had 40 bodies in less room than your spacious villa. nowhere to hide tempers getting frayed everyday, hot sticky and no sense of real purpose for being there in the first place. All I kept saying to my self was that when it was over we were heading for Mombassa for 10 days. and as sailors not bing ashore very much we had a pocket full of money saved for when we got there. So believe me Amy I have been in some of these hell holes. Another time we were involved in a dispute with Iceland over fishing rights can you imagine six weeks on a 2500 ton destroyer, in December, January and February in the North Atlantic. So cheer up mate it really is not worth making yourself ill over, grina nd bear it, and more grinning helps, if my waffling on helps to relieve the dark hours then I will waffle and waffle. Now this album of real culture, shows the artistic side of your nature the bright side thinking, sofisticated photography, angles light shade and coposition. I like you have rambled on and on and then lost it so now what I do is always save half way threough and always at the end before trying to press ADD MY MESSAGE. Then if it goes AWOL I just laugh back. thanks for your very kind words about my little colourful album. I saw those buckets and spades in Devon when I was there in June, and formulated that album there and then. People say that Britain is a dull place, I just wanted to show that there are some colours in our little Island., Hope this has cheer you up a little bit if not think Africa, Africa, Africa every time you feel down, your pal Ken the Fen but if you like you can call me Swampy if it makes you feel any better, five bug hugs and good wishes for good measure.

  • Hi Amy. What am amazing album. Was fascinated to view the photos of the model village. What an experience this must have been for you, to share this unique moment in time. As you say, years and years of hard work, patience and dedication must have gone into making this replica of an Italian village. The intricate detail was simply outstanding. I'd love to know where Hostaria de Bruno is. You never know, I might make it to Rome sometime this year and on your recommendation I'd be sure of a good meal there. Would you also please tell me where the 'Angel who watches' is? In my 4 years of having lived in Rome and many, many holidays there since, I don't think I have ever noticed it. Finally, I would like to thank you for signing my recent g/b feature. I was so happy to hear from you and appreciated your kind words. Take care and please keep in touch. Luv n'hugs Jayne, UK. :) xx
