Dear Suresh, Happy to see Your new production; We have visited this fabulous place in 1980, a now far past! I will never forget the sounds of little groups laughing here and there probably commenting the erotic statues! In our group there was a very precious woman, speaking a stilted French ( she was teacher of French language), never ready on tour departure each morning because arranging the colour of her shoes to her dress; I was younger and perhaps nice boy to her eyes; Passing together and alone in front of a strong erotic scene showing an animal coupled with a woman, she said me: And if we reproduced the scene??? I was strongly surprised, ashamed and wordless!!! Your album with the very instructive comments is an art master piece where every picture is a success; The global temples views have always a perfect composition (4,18,25,30,59); Sometimes my attention has been retained by the subject and the associated comment as in #36, or by the colour and the light as in 7, 10, 24, 28, often by the photo quality associated with a graceful subject as in 11, 21, 31, 42, 46 & 47; People shots always attract me and 67 is a so well depicted smile with its usual little girl ‘s shy; Why did You write that the doorman was genial? Because of his face or because he was very clever? I will come often to see again these beautiful and instructive pictures which teach me many things about the Deities of the Hindu Pantheon; It was a great pleasure to re visit the place with such a Guide, congratulations and take care, Jacques

It would be hard to produce things like that nowadays, never mind back then. I would like to visit those temples someday, just to admire the true beauty in real life. Hi Suresh!! I started with the slide show, but then went over to the one at a time view because the amazement I was experiencing required a closer and longer look! WOW WOW WOW this is amazing! It is incredible to see these thousands of highly detailed artworks in such good condition after 1000 years! Especially considering the random complete destruction of other temples in the area. Dear Suresh. You have really produced an outstanding album this time Suresh! I love Khajuraho. Wow... what an awesome place in beautiful India!!! You have certainly described every shot with explicit detail and the description is informative and educational. The temples you have captured are outstanding - the sculptures, even after 1000 years are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The art is on par with anything that Michaelangelo has done... the Egyptian sculptures and in fact the Chinese sculptures that have adorned art books for years... this is exceptional work. I have to stop and wonder why are these temples not made known to us here in the western world. The attention to detail... for Indian art way back then - this is truly incredible stuff. Personally, the erotic sculptures are very tasteful and are beautiful. To be able to carve such emotion and eroticism which is so life-like and moving is mindblowing. I read your captions again and again and so appreciate the time you have taken to make such an outstanding album Suresh. You never cease to amaze me. Dear Suresh, these are beautiful pictures of a wonderful and very impressive place. So many sculptures and details, I could spend a whole week there and it would not be enough. The sculptures and temples are superb. It is interesting to see Jain temples as well. I saw one in Delhi and a few Jain sculptures in Karnataka. But I was particularly pleased to see a wonderful sculpture of my favourite Hindu deity, Ganesha, and of course his mother, Parvathi and her husband Shiva. I have a large collection of Ganeshas at home, in many different styles and materials, which I bought not only in India, but in different European countries as well. WArm greetings Suresh! I place I sadly never got to visit while living in India, fortunately I am able to view it through your excellent and personal interpretation. I love the detail you focused on in showing these magnificent sculptures and passing on the deeper meanings they convey within the whole of the Hindu Pantheon. The stories of the many deities are fascinating and I bought the cartoon art book of the Ramayana. I know that is only a part of the whole pantheon, and to a foreigner it suddenly gets all too overwhelming to find out just how many are in the Pantheon! When I was living in Mumbai, the festival that I loved to view as an outsider was the Ganesh pooja, so colourful and lively. Anyway, getting too carried away here, but I really enjoyed taking this tour through your gifted eyes. Many thanks and peace to your family, amy

Love the temple photos, Suresh! Yes, I do have a connection to India. Probably before you were born - LOL - I spent almost a year there...one time for about 6 months in 1969 and another 4 months in 1972. Most of the second visit was for my then brother-in-law's marriage, but the first visit was spent traveling about that beautiful, ancient land. I loved every minute of it, and it was the adventure of my lifetime. I'll never forget the sights and smells or the warm, wonderful people. I will always have great affection for India and the Indian people. I only wish health and circumstances would allow me to visit again, but alas....it is not to be. Thanks for visiting my albums and your very kind comments. I'm nowhere near the photographer YOU are, but I do love to take photos. Excellent shot. Brings back fond memories of graduate school, 1969, when I had a chance to live and travel in India for a year. Visited many temples including this one but my slides are packed away and probably fading. Thanks for the souvenir.

I got myself to the Sahara Desert twice. Saw a little of Europe on the way. Always wanted to visit India! The ancient treasures you beautifully photgraphed here is "one" of my reasons for wanting to go. I could drive out to the University Bookstore, near the Univ. of Washington, (Seattle), and doubt if I could find a book even close to as good as your album here is - with all you have photographed! And that bookstore is a an impressive store too! "What a pleasure" to view all these magnificent treasures from India!!! That's truth - not polite flattery!
