  • Forgot! The Oregon Garden is a place to visit, and not my friends yard...lol That would be something having 240 acres of gardens to take care of...uck!

  • Hi Gladys, Now this is the kind of territory I love trees, lnes wild flowers peace and quiet, far from the maddening crowd, I did not think that there could be one with out some of your famous lovely Roses, they are so beautiful, what a versatile flower they are, thanks for the gb and yes I am flattered to have two in two months, sometimes I look at othe peoples work and think that I am favoured by the Gods, but I will take them when they come and be extremley thankful for it. tke care now until the next time Ken.

  • Gladys, A nice album-strange name for a tree, but there must be some history to this one too. Incidentally, #28 appears to be gorse. Have the same stuff here and dislike it immensely. Not in my yard, south of here has a lot of it, around the golf courses. #36 appears to be chocolate candy from where I'm setting, despite the description of tree seeds; Issac and Sophie look tuckered, but still raring to go down the same road once more. I thank you for this invitation to see a different album than your usual. Your roses are beautiful, so aptly named at the same time. All of now. Best wishes. Ron/Oregon Coast

  • Hello! Very nice pictures of nature at morning. I like particularly no. 15 -Australian Bluebells, and have it downloaded, looks like 3 dimensional. Greetings. Kathrin [Switzerland]

  • Hi Gladys and I think the reason I missed this album is because we were ourselves down that way. It's quite amazing how much behind us some of their plants are isn't it? We were staggered to see the Christmas Trees in flower at end February and also some Scaevola. Great album but those poor dogs obviously find it hard keeping up with you on those walks, judging by the expressions on their faces. I like the Red Tips (some were still around a few weeks after your photo) and the Aussie Bluebells. The fringe lily of course is a beauty and the lichen shots are great. Goodonya! Peter

  • Hi there Gladys. Yet again you have EXCELLED with this gorgeous album. Thanks for allowing me to join you on your walk. Most enjoyable and the scenery was fabulous. My favourite shots are #'s 10 and 11, the yellow flowers framed against that unbelievable 'blue' sky. Truly awesome!! I have a 'thing' about 'blue' skies. Don't get enough of them here in England. We're in the middle of a cold snap here in the Midlands at present. We've had a very mild winter, in fact our spring flowers are popping up all over the place. Now, these last few days we are getting freezing temperatures and SNOW!! Looks like these flowers may not survive. Your flower shots are absolutely excellent. Take care. Kindest regards, Jayne xx

  • Hello Gladys! Another beautiful album! You began it with the dogs (we would like to walk with you through this wonderland in the bush!) and you finished it with the portraits of these two so pretty Isaac and Sophie! We didn't know that there exist a Christmas tree with such beautiful yello flowers. We love all your flowers and also the interesting and funny details (from the sandhills, the lychen, the spiny branch etc...). Your daughter's roses and other flowers are marvellous! Thanks, Gladys, for your nice guestbook message! Warm wishes, Henri and Kaethi

  • Hi Gladys, sorry for keeping you waiting. As always I enjoyed very much reading your comments in my albums. We have rain mainly from the end of December till March. Now is the best time of the year, not too hot and not too cold. It rains a lot but after it, the sky is bright again. Thanks for your information about the Bougainvilleas. I've never seen such a plant with flowers in two different colors. I enjoyed very much to get some more Christmas flowers! It never can't be too much! And I enjoy very much to get so much attention from you and Peter that you even take pictures especially for me! :-) Your pictures are photographed from very low distance, so I could see for the first time the anatomy of the flower. Now I understand, why the bloom changes its color. Your morning walk is a pleasure to watch. The dogs are gorgeous!! I like how you show us the beauty of the bush land, the trees, even the burned ones, the lichen on it and the beautiful life under them, those colorful flowers, like in pix 15, 21, 23, 24 and 31. Those Sheoke trees look unusual to me - and so very beautiful in the pretty details! Your daughter has an wonderful garden!! Those roses are amazing!!! And when do you have your rain? Take care! Galit

  • Hi Gladys, I saw your entry in the "Gates" featured album today and wanted to send you this link for more information: http://www.nyc.gov/html/thegates/home.html I'm glad I did because I have discovered your Morning Walk photos and they are wonderful! Your wildflowers are beautiful and I love the lichen shots too, but Sophie and Isaac really won my heart - they are adorable. You are very blessed to have such a great place and loving companions for your morning walk. Warm greetings from California, Beth

  • Hi Gladys. What a beautiful place to go walking. I think my favourite photo was "A Glimpse of Albany" and I do love the dogs. Thanks for sharing and I'll see you again (sort of) Al....

  • Good morning, Gladys! Thank you for sharing the lovely walk through the Sheoke forest. Two of my favorite shots are Glimpse of Albany and Cloudy Skies. Like Magikeith, I am impressed with your knowledge of the vegetation. I love the orange-yellow flowers of the Nuytsia Floribunda, the stands of Sheokes, the ferns, and assorted wildflowers. What delightful environs! Keith

  • Hi Gladys, I checked and had missed the last two photos. Glad I came back, both for the last two photos, and to take the walk a second time. Uploading photos does take a long time, and I've twice been surprised to get guestbook entries while the job was still in progress. Beautiful morning here after all the recent storms. No harm done here, and much needed rain in the Sydney catchment. Cheers. Keith.

  • G'day Gladys, I like your fringe lilly, tis a very cool blossom, the christmas trees are always cool too.Looks like you & the puppas had a fun walk. :o) I took a short MC ride out thru the desert last sunday & there are lots of tiny poppy plants,I even saw a couple that were starting to bloom ,so I am hoping for a good wildflower year, the last one was 2002.It's been a long dry spell. :o( Have a good up comming weekend & God Bless. • Hi Gladys, what a lovely and varied morning walk, thanks for taking me along. Your knowledge of Australian natives' names is impressive. How different your Christmas bush is from ours, a very lovely flower all the same. I wonder if they're from the same genus, do you know? I love the last photo, did Isaac accompany you on your walk? He looks like he needs a rest. Lovely album Gladys, as always, well done. All the best, Keith.

  • Hi Gladys.Yes Yes That was just a beautiful album and I can soo relate to it...and felt like I was there and memories come flooding back. I love all the floral shots and love that you know the names of them. I get a bit bushed with it all. I absolutely adored 'Glimpse of Albany" and from the first moment I saw it, it just jumped out and was so reminicent of an Aussie artist whose name has just slipped by into the abyss, but it is certainly just a painting of a picture if you get what I mean. STUNNING!! Great album again Gladys and tks for sharing. I am a bit behind in replies and came on to do some work concerning art...and up popped a morning walk...and I had to take it. All the photos are wonderful and so Aussie. Take care Gladys and have a really great day....Em
