Je peux pas choisir, parceque chaque photo est unique!!!Your explanations are so much welcome, I knew nothing about this town and its Duomo! The architecture is a dream and the frescoes......superbes!!! I DO thank you, dear Friend, for making us live through this wonderful experience!!! Also, we both thank you for the visit and message (twice each of them!) at our album THE RED TEMPLE, which we hope you'll be able to see with your own eyes in the future. Tres amicalement, Gabriela

    • CIAO Jacques and THANKS! THANKS for this wonderful album from an old and precious city, THANKS for the beauty of your shots that are like a ray of sun in this foggy morning and ..... THANKS, THANKS, THANKS for your LOVE for my country. I feel in your comments (as usual they are full of precision and correctness!!!) your love and admiration for this city and for our art. Believe me see these feelings in a man fron another country is a TRUE GIFT for me. About shots I can only observe that, as usual, you are to hard with their quality! In effect I think you make an excellent job and that many photos are really great! I mean for example 1, 5, 19 (I hope your idea is correct :-) ), 20, 24, 31 and 35 that are all really good! To end... REALLY THANKS for this wonderful virtual visit in a city that I had see many year ago! A BIG CIAO!!! Ruggero

    • Hello Jacques, Just as I was admiring your photos of Corsica, here comes an even more great album! How do you do it? Every picture is perfectly exposed, from wide angle to macro! The architectural details and interior perspectives are simply perfect! Your explanations, as usual, very interesting and competent. I didn't know Sienna was founded by the twin sons of Remus! Romulus and Remus are celebrated in Romania too, with a statue of the twins and the wolverine. I enjoyed very much the historic walk! The light in Italy is so clear, the colors are so pure in this album! Can't help but notice - I live in a climate where seldom I see this magnificent light, and those tremendous monuments still gleaming gloriously after so many hundreds of years. Thanks for the experience! And Happy Valentine's Day! Love, Ina

    • Hello Jacques! This is an exquisite album of varying subjects and textures. Yes, Sienna is a trove of art treasures. I truly admire your patience in illustrating the magnificent Duomo with pictures and excellent captions which makes it such interesting reading. The stainglass windows, the inner walls of the Duomo, the libraray are all, indeed, amazingly beautiful. The pictures of the Campo and the Torre are reminders of my well spent time there last summer. Thank you so much, my friend, for sharing these fabulous pictures. Best wishes, Suresh

    • Dear Jacques: What a magnificent album full of so many art treasures and grand architecture! Thanks to your excellent detailed captions and explanations and your interesting photography I have not only learned a great deal about Siena, but have enjoyed following you through that beautiful city as my tour guide. I am amazed by the quality of your interior photographs - most buildings like churches, castles etc are not too well lit, and in most, flash photography is not allowed. It was truly a feast for the eyes! I thank you not only for inviting me to view it, but, what's more, for the honor of having it dedicated to me. I deeply appreciate that! Naturally, this being "my album" in a sense, I have downloaded the entire album to my screen saver collection - where ordinarily I only pick and choose. You have certainly been prolific in creating album after album since your return from India. Your stopover in Siena after publishing a number of albums on Sardinia certainly produced an excellent wind-up of your most recent trip. All of it was a pleasure to experience through your photos and narrative. With my best regards, bruno

    • Hello Jacques, looking at these photos makes one realize how many beautiful places we will never see in person, but through your photos we do get to see part of the them. My favorites are (even though I love them all) in subject matter: 4,20,42 and 43. Thanks for the gift....Trudy

    • Wonderful shots of a fabulous place, Jacques! I will never forget my visit to Siena and now it is once again fresh thanks to you. Like Marianne, my favorite is the visitors sitting by the wall (#19) as you are so exceptionally good at capturing people and expressions. But you have also captured this beautiful city well. Thank you for this treat. A big hug, Beth
