  • Bonjour, cher ami! me voila apres avoir visite le peu de Florence que vous avez eu la chance de photographier. Meme pour une demi-journee....c'est formidable! In this very small album you have collected many shots of good quality, technically speaking. No.3,4,5,6 are magnificent sharp shots with beautiful reflections in the river water! No.7,8,9 are for me splendid - Ponte Vecchio shot in such details, it keeps me thinking of all those little shops behind those many windows.Marvellous No.13, though Ben.Cellini was a lousy character, his art is not.No.17 is an impressive composition and No.21- a very good angle of shooting! And then you show us the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore - which would be worth many albums( No.26), next the belfry(No.31) and the various details (32,33,35,37) crowned by the gigantic cupola inside(42) - enough of a coup d'oeil for those that have never had the chance to visit it (like me). This is a powerful album, one of your very best. My sincere compliments and many thanks. Tres amicalement, Gabriela

  • Dear Jacques - a magnificent album - from you I would expect no less. The scenery, your sampling of the wonderful treasures of art are stunning! Thanks to your excellent photography it is possible to see even the smallest detail, which, in this case, is so important. Everything one looks at - buildings, statues, murals etc. are living proof that the authors and artists must have dedicated a good part of their lives to create them. You covered so much considering you only had a few hours there. Thank you for the invitation! This trip has produced an exciting series of albums from scenery to the treasures of Italy. I enjoyed viewing them all and downloading favorites from each to my screen savers. With my best regards, bruno

  • Dear Jacques! This album is a masterpiece! Florence in all its glory! Be it the Ponte Vecchio, the Neptune statue, the one of Perseus, they all seem to assert that Florence, indeed, has a very rich cultural and artistic history. The pictures inside the Duomo are breathtakingly beautiful, so also the frescos. Even for a short stay in Florence, you have done it great justice. Of course, I do understand that one can spend years in cities like Rome and Florence and still enjoy only a part of its glory and art. Thank you for sharing these exquisite pictures. Best wishes, Suresh

  • Jacques, what a joy to see this album! Another gem of Italy! Your pictures are great, and so are the captions! The Ponte Vecchio with its reflections is a pleasure to see, and the Ghiberti doors are my favorites, but all the photos are splendid! And again, the light in your photos is warm and clear, the colors are so natural and glowing! Congratulations, Ina

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! You are making me so jealous with this trip - I long for Florence and Siena and all the other places you have stopped. Too bad about all the scaffolding around David - one of the hazards of travel in Europe I find. Your Ponte Vecchio and Arno photos are works of art and I love your captions on the sculpture photos. A big warm hug from California, Beth
