Dear Tirza . I am so happy to be the first . I am late to work, as i checked this morning all your most beautiful photos. This time you made a great job. You are doing beter and beter. Do not forget the limits of your camera, as she have only simple and short focos, and for long range shoots, you need /6 or 10 zoom, and you have only 3 zoom one..... Your camera is wonderful for close shoots, and with close shoots, you have doen a wonderful work, like with the bridges, the berds from the bout and cetera. Hello Tira, you have taken some amazingly beautiful photos with your Canon G5; well done. You will be old before you outgrow your G5. I have a G3 and love it. Of course, it's more than the camera, the photographer is important too. And that's where you come in, your photos of Puerto Vallarta are beautiful because they are well composed and the subject is interesting. Thank you for sharing your photos and obvious talent. thanks Tirza for the compliment about my webshot album. Fear of snakes .... it is all a matter of getting to know such things, approaching it objectively. Personally I promote natural photographing, at the most using a few simple settings on my small digicam and maybe a polarisation filter. For your information, I am a Swiss citizen, 40 years, having lived 9 years in the US (VA and FL), where I did a Ph.D. in biology and some jobs, and travelled all over Southern Europe, but also Panama, Kenya and Thailand. Hi Tirza. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. There never seems enough hours in the day to get everything done which you'd like to. This album is so BEAUTIFUL and colourful, which are two factors which I associate with Mexico. I want to visit this place!! Hello Tirza! Thank you for your interest in my featured "Mexican Birds" - and for showing me Puerto Vallarta. I admit I had to check a map to find out where it is. In fact, the Western Mexican coast is mostly unknown to European tourists, as we only have charters to Cancun. However the landscape is more interesting in the West than in Yucatan, where everything is absolutely plain, just like in Florida. You have some incredible sunsets here: may I ask you if the first 2 pictures are edited or was the sky really so red? In my other album from Mexico (Colorful Souvenirs from Mexico) I have a couple of sunsets, too. On the ones with the lighthouse I've added a few points of red to make them more brillant. Shalom again,Tirza, that was quick!! Oh yes, it is so much excitement to be featured! I was speechless about how many views I saw the day after the features! Your feature is very well deserved! This month I got a message from Ran, your brother. I know his beautiful sites quite well! :-) We met at Webshots over the tree trunks in Ra'anana. Some kind of fairytale.... I use a Sony DSC-F505V, not a new model. I think the camera is by now about 5 years old. For macros I use usually manual focus, not the auto focus. The auto focus is always focused on the center of the picture. And believe me I delete a lot of not so clear macros! :-) No I do not use different or special lenses! Galit
