Peggy's Cove - Nova Scotia - Featured Aug. 19, 2005

My Dear Ina, I am twice honoured, first for the album dedication for my birthday, yes already 59, and to have the chance to be the first to comment this album on a lovely place; We slept one night in that famous place in 1999 and had the chance of a very foggy weather making everything quiet and mysterious; I loved a lot that place for the colours of the pier ‘s boats, the rusticity of the houses, and the rugged stone landscape, all together making it a perfect place for a painter ‘s soul! So You made a good choice, my Dear Ina, in Your dedication, and I will digitalize some pictures of this large trip in North East USA & Canada and of course of the wonderful Nova Scotia with its Peggy ’s Cove charming place; I loved specially all the harbour ‘s pictures and the last inviting one for two people!!! Dearest Ina, what an endearing little place!!! Looks like a place at the mercy of Nature and her whims.My favourite shots are Nos.3/4/10/21/23/27/30/35 (very artistic)/38/41(interesti ng)/48 (lovely).They are all good shots for compositions and angle of shooting. My beloved is No.14 - those bottles make a fantastic shot! Still life in a fishing village!I see below that our friend Jacques was touched and honoured by this dedication. It helps that he is not a stranger to this place.I watched it twice inside the installation!Everybody can shoot flowers, but this album is not something that everybody can shoot so artistically. Hi Ina! Enjoyed this delightful album with your wonderful shots of this quaint little Fishing Village. Love the Lighthouse and that massive cloud formation really adds character to the shot. The Fishing Boats, Wildflowers in front of the Cottages, the Inviting Chairs to enjoy the View, all so clear and beautifully captured. I visited Peggy Cove whijle Hurican Floyd was passing. It was asume the wave breaking over the rocks. These phots bring back memories of our visit to Peggy Cove.

This is a great album, Ina! I visited Peggy's Cove two years ago and can attest to the fact that you did a marvelous job of capturing the uniqueness of the settlement. Does anyone have a photo of the small pond or lagoon directly behind the lighthouse? It's fed by a cleft in the rock to the right of the lighthouse if one is facing its back. We took our children there many years ago. The pond was shallow, sandy and bits and pieces of sea life would wash in. The children loved it and I would love to have a photo.
