Hello, This is a very interesting album - I am a Civil War buff! Your photography is great - with clear shots and very good alignment. I have enjoyed my visit very much and am looking forward to viewing the rest of your site. - DeeAnne :)

Hello Ken, is this a "Star Fort"? I can see what looks like berms (raised earth dams around the outside to stop cannon fire) but I can't tell for sure. I also wish to thank you for your kind words on my albums "Teakettle Rock" & Metal Art". Ed/Albuquerque

thanks for the compliment about my featured album, Maryland has not fewer snake species as Ialy. Snakes can be found in many places, even in Sweden or southwester Alaska, but most people do not see them. That maybe better. So you should not worry about it. The Italian pics I shot represent only a tiny fraction. Personally I promote natural photographing, at the most using a few simple settings on my small digicam and maybe a polarisation filter. For your information, I am a Swiss citizen, 40 years, having lived 9 years in the US (VA and FL), where I did a Ph.D. in biology and some jobs, and travelled all over Southern Europe, but also Panama, Kenya and Thailand. I own a small Nikon Coolpix 4500 digicam since mid 2003. cheers, Konrad
