Thank you for this wonderful album, the amazing pictures, so light-colored and beautiful. It seems to me that these beaches are peaceful and deserted. Thank you for this look into paradise! Best regards

Hello - what a beautiful album. I'm particularly impressed with the colours brought out of the sea and the rocks - its just the kind of thing that I try to capture. I shall enjoy perusing it in greater depth along with your other albums. Thankyou so much for the invite and the kind comments you have left on my Cornwall album! Alas - although I think Cornwall has stunning scenery it cannot compete with this! Best wishes Anna

Hi Peter. Love the photos! I had the privilege of living in Esperance for a little over 3 years and my first instrumental CD "Esperance - Hope with great expectation" was named after the town and inspired by many of the places there. I miss the diving, walks along the coast and the many friends I have there. Hope to return someday. Thankyou for posting these nice memories. Mark. www.marksmusicaustralia.c om

Hello Peter Thanks for contacting me through my albums and its great to hear from another West Aussie. You could have seen us in Kalbarri: we managed the PCYC Camp for 2 years and had our Denning bus parked on site there, next to the Anchorage Caravan Park. Next week we begin a new challenge, managing the Peppermint Park Eco Village in Busselton. Call by and see us if you can. Love your albums too. Regards, Linda

Hi Peter, I missed your album when it was featured beacuse I was away on holidays. Since coming back I've not been able to catch up with you because the Community Archive was down. Well better late than never! Congratulations on the feature, your photos are as enticing now as they were back when I first saw them last March. I see your latest album is still missing 25 shots. I drop by regularly, and will eventually be rewarded with a full album. Hope you had a good Australia Day, cheers Keith.

Peter, thanks for your kind comments about my album(s). I'm glad you enjoyed them! I add several pictures weekly to my newest album to share with friends and family back in Oregon in the US, so it's a work in progress. Our beaches here in Baja look similar to the beautiful ones in this album, and we're impressed daily by our good fortune to live here and enjoy it! Happy picture taking! Harriet

...must get down to Esperance one of these days ... the white beaches have always impressed me ... to answer Peter, I've been extremely lazy or rather busy. Haven't uploaded thousands of px from different shoots. Must lack discipline! NO, haven't uploaded the last trip at this point ... will do! Your's continue to motivate and impress this fellow lenser! Congratulations ... all most impressive! Cheers and regards ~ BjD

Hi Peter. Thanks for the compliments regarding my sydney album & the jacarandas. I hope I get the time to take more next year when they are in bloom. The eastern & northern suburbs especially are awash with lavender blooms. I love the pure clean water of the beaches near Esperance. Thank you for sharing the beauty with us. I'll be adding more albums & more photos to the current albums as I get time. Have a wonderful 2006 & keep clicking.

Thank you for the comment you placed in my featured album on northern New Mexico, Peter. I had browsed through your albums of Western Australia and of Perth and found them very interesting. You captured well the scenery of a part of Australia I thought didn't have much scenery. I went on a tour of Perth through your albums, which I think you captured the city well. Your album deserves to be featured. Have a Happy New Year. Steven, Fort Worth, Texas.

Hi Peter, thanks for visiting my featured album today and for your very kind words in the guestbook. I got a very lovely present from Webshots for the new year. Although 2 of my featured albums were made in Haifa, I do not live there. I used to live there while studying in the university 10-15 years ago. Today I live in Ramat Gan which is close to Tel-Aviv. However I have less luck with my albums of these cities... Wishing you a wonderful weekend and a Happy New Year, Yair.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your kind words about my photos of Whitiker Pond. Hod did you find them on Webshots? As you can see I just started to put albums up on Webshots. I hope to put up a few more in the near future. It is located about 6 miles from my house and I drove by it that morning after taking a relative to the airport for an early flight. I had never been to it before and was pleastly surprised by how nice a setting it was. I drove by it for 7 years as I was working out of the Airport at the time, but never stopped at it until last month. My name is actually Randall (my oldest son is Evan Reese, who was a newborn when I discovered Webshots) and I have wanted to come to the Perth area for many years. In 1988 I had tickets in my hand and was coming via Kenya, but contracted Malaria while in Kenya and had to return home. Actually a missionary family from Perth, who i did not know took care of me while I was in Kenya with the Malaria. I was on my way to Perth to teach at a little Bible Training College. i still hope to get over there one of these days. I really enjoyed your photos that were on the home page of webshots, especially the 3rd page. Perhaps the day will come when I will get to Perth and we can have a cup of coffee, share some pictures face to face and take some photos together. Thanks, Randall

Hello Peter. How dreadful of me to miss your feature day. Shame on me, but then it was my birthday, so I suppose I can be forgiven. Fabulous beaches is definitely one of the words I would choose to describe these beaches. A fine collection of coastal shots. My warmest congratulations, even if a little belated. You've probably heard of the cold weather we've been having over Christmas, although having said that, today it's turn quite mild and all our snow, frost and ice has melted. What I'd give to be sitting on a beach right now. Soaking up the sun is but a dream and at least 6 months away, lol. Happy new year and I look forward to you posting many more feature albums in 2006!! Cheers, Jayne/West Midlands, Uk :) xx

Dear Peter - double congratulations on this fascinating album and its well-deserved feature today! I have been to many beaches and lakes with unusual colouring of the water - but never anything like this - the contrast of the light blue-green water and those pure white sandy beaches! It was a joy to watch the slide show from beginning to end. And, of course, a little animal life like your magpie visitor always provides a nice added touch. Hi Peter, Congratulations on your absolutely beautiful featured album! I reiterate what I said the last lime I visited - These are some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. I particularly like the rock formation you captured in "Twilight Beach8". Beaches are surprisingly difficult to portray in pictures, but you have done a wonderful job well deserving of today's honor. Greetings from Florida (where we too know a thing or two about beautiful beaches), Paul.

Hello Peter, looks gorgeous, congratulations on the feature. Now you have made me feel bad, as I have had to trade with the wife my proposed visit to Ningaloo reef & your big trees for another exotic place. She just could not face the plane trip out there. Strange as it may seem if you swopped the sand & sun for mud, your old jetty photo would be very similar to our old jetty on the Wash. Eric

Thought this might be of interest - I've put the 4 photos up in the Panorama album that were used to make Kohaihai sunset so you can see the lighting differences in each shot. This was probably the most problematic panorama to stitch because of the lighting difference but the programme seems to have handled it pretty well. I just had to fine tune some of the wave matches but the colour blends in well across the photos not just in a band by the seams as some other programme seem to do...

Beautiful album Peter - wish I'd found it sooner! One thing we don't seem to have over in Kiwiland is white beaches and our water isn't all that clear really, especially where I come from - makes swimming a bit of a nervous experience sometimes as you know there's crabs down there somewhere! Georgeous water colour too. Reminds me of the Bay of Fires in Tasmania. Great to see it's so quiet too! Thanks for your comments about the panoramas but I'm not sure I can take all the credit - was the programme really! Will now have a look at some of my building shots from around the place and see if I can do something with them too - you've got me inspired again :) Cheers, Kate

Hi peter, Thanks for the nice words about my pictures, I am still learning and expimenting with the 750 camera and I feel I need some software but sometime the camera gets a good shot without my help. I do live in a very pleasant part of California, with both public parks and unimproved nature walks. The wild flowers are my favorite subjects and the early spring blooms, although fleeting, are very beautiful. None of my pictures, compare to your flowers and so I appreciate your comments even more. Hi Peter,I enjoyed my virtual tour of your beautiful beach scenes, just the kind of beaches I like, with nice fine white sand and few people on them, very well captured and presented. The answer to your question on the passenger ferry at Teignmouth,it now costs £1 each way,a bit of a steep rise from the two pence that you remember, but it is still very popular and well used by locals and visitors alike,Regards,Rod.

Hallo Peter, have been looking through several of your albums, which leave me feeling I have enjoyed a whistlestop holiday. What a beautiful part of the world you live in. I was most of all impressed by this album. How I love white beaches, and these are fabulous. What a lovely holiday you both must have had. and to find a B&B with such a gorgeous view, and a breakfast balcony, AND visitors to share it with you. What more could you wish for? Those little birds were SO tame, even to eating out of your hand! Thankyou SO much for sharing it all with us. Happy greetings to you both, Sheila, from Buckinghamshire, England.

Hello Peter, that was a beautiful beachtrip! A great album and wonderful pictures. The panorama picture is marvelous, as well as the pictures of your breakfast guests. Furthermore I very much liked the photos of the Old Town Jetty (40) and nr. 57-Twilight Beach8 (such magnificent rock formation!) Thanks for sharing through your pictures the beauty of these beaches. Contrarily to your beautiful weather we have had heavy snowfall last week, some parts of our country had up to 50centimeters of snow (my town had only 20 cm). For my country this is really exceptional. I made lots of pictures of it, they are to be seen at this site in 2 albums: Winter Special (new additions) and Zwolle (new additions #33-63) I have also a new album with pictures of a Belgian vacation. So I did not sit still. Have a nice weekend, friendly yours, Els (evanwely/wely246)

When I looked at the rock formation it reminded me of a Hippo. I think I would have had to strip off and jump in that gorgeous looking water. What type of bird is that first breakfast visitor ? Peter, you're right. How did I miss this one? What amazing beaches you have there in Esperance! I don't think there is a single beach on any of three coasts (Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico) of the U.S. that is so pristine as yours. I simply must send your pics along to my eldest daughter and friends who would like to be beach bums! Be careful sharing all this beauty, or you may have some unexpected visitors from the States. Oh, and that hunky guy showed up in your photos again, too. I can't tell you which photo is my fave, tho "View to the islands" is certainly one. I also like that close-up of the rock with the erosion cave. You really captured the water with good effect in that one. Hugs, Char

Hi Peter, this is a glorious collection of photos! Such pristine beaches and beautiful colours. You were so lucky to have birds to visit at breakfast time. Early birds after the worms, no doubt. Was that a butcher bird? They are lovely birds, with a most beautiful repetoire of calls. As for magpies, what can I say, they are a national treasure. Cheers, Keith.
