Peter you are a treasure, thankyou as you always make me smile. I left a comment with some details about the Keeshonds as they have generated a lot of interest and questions. I like the addition to this album and I was inspired to google about the park. It is very intersting and it said that they cover some 1000km and some are almost 4 metres high. The shifting sand is interesting too. I think I would be concerned about getting lost.. fascinating album. Did you take your overseas visitors here and were they impressed? After all it is a little bigger then stonehenge. do you need 4 wheel drive to see them?.. hugs Susan

Hi Peter, You have great photos showing your home. I had a very tight schedule for the WA trip, weather is perfect just most Wineres were closed for Christmas time. Next time will not choose Christmas or Easter Holidays in visiting WA. Vincent

Hi Peter, well you didn't tell what pinnacles are but this sure explaines it well.Thank you for the comments on my GB. Yes we do the renovations ourselves. I should say my husband does them and i run around behind him and get things.LOL I guess Al must of forgotten to tell me about the snow gum, he did try to fill me in on a lot of different things. I'm very interested about Australia. My grass is not always that green in the middle of our summers we aren't here a lot so it turns a bit but not too bad. Of course we are smack in the middle of our winter and it's cold and lots of snow. You could have sent me a little of your heat if you were suffering since we aren't haveing that problem here.I would for sure send you all the cold you would like if i could.LOL... Have a great day...Claudette

Awesome photos Peter! I especially love the running commentary - very interesting and helpful as I had been wondering how these unusual formations came to be :) Another reason to get over to Western Aus - you are very lucky to be living in such a unique area! Cheers, Kate

G'day Peter, many thanks for leaving such lovely comment on my featured album in May! I went to Perth, WA a couple years ago and fell in love with the place so much so, for a while we seriously looked into moving there! That is still in the back of our minds but for now still doing the Ex-Pat thing with work so settling has been put on hold for the while I guess. Anyway, we didn't have enough time to fit the Pinnacles in on our trip which i was very disappointed with but there is always a next time and til then I can enjoy viewing your shots of this intriguing place. Many thanks for sharing and will look forward to viewing your other albums of the fantastic city of Perth and its surrounding areas! Cheers and all the best ,amy

Hi Peter. Great pictures and very educational. It looks to be well worth a visit when I get over there. About your Tassie trip - I'd go with the car hire and booking in at B&Bs. Then you can take your time at the places you'd like to see and skip the places you are not so keen on. You are also free to spend some time taking photos without being hassled to get back on the bus. Its a great place and very small and very easy to get around. Chris

Hello Peter, What a different album, Blue sky and sand, Did you have to travel far to find this remarkable place. The photographs as usual are impeccable (can't use big words like this to Al).Big Big thanks for making me a favourite, I have just this minute returned the complement, I just got the wrong album to view so I might as well remark on that as well. Keep in touch Ken

Hi Peter! Thoroughly enjoyed re-visiting these fantastic Pinnacles through the lens of your camera. You have photographed so many of the interesting formations and your captions are excellent and informative. I think it would be wonderful to be able to be there either at Sunrise or Sunset for some truly awesome shots. Great album and well done (except for the tiny little photos, guess you were in a hurry to upload). Thanks for sharing.. Gladys.

Must have missed this one Peter! Well, the Pinnacles of W.A. may be one of the best known landmarks; but i'm afraid i've never heard of or seen them before! So thank you for bringing them to my attention, they are amazing! Thank's also for your entry in my'Spring'guestbook. I think the squirrel must be leaping about 3ft from a birdhouse on the wall onto the birdtable! Have you missed my latest album 'Kinder Downfall from Hayfield'? Jill managed to beat you & signed the guestbook first!!Best Wishes Angela.

Hi Peter, the new additions are very nice! I like the upside-down spider and those bathing honeyeaters! So your Jacaranda is out of season? Next month our Jacarandas will bloom. They are getting now brand-new leaves. . . . ! Even when I am busy, I still take a look what is going on on the web!! I think: having a slide-show of today's 'features' is much more relaxing than looking at the news. :-) So you do not LIKE the Pinnacles? People are not interested in it?Wow! I think they are very interesting! You gave us all those wonderful explanations about it. It is a wonderful online tour in an other world. The resolution you choose is a little low, but the pictures are very clear anyway! Now I go back to my stuff, . . . . . .8 more days to go . . . .Galit

Hi Peter, These formations are incredible, are they far from where you live ? Thank you for your comment about my wee birdies They are growing real fast and I'm getting worried about getting too close now incase I spook them out of the nest. Not sure I will catch them flying the roost but I will keep my eyes open to see if I can get more piccies of them. Take care now Jill

Hello Peter, I thoroughly enjoyed this album. What an amazing spectacle this is, unbelievable beautiful! Thanks for the explanation that you give together with the pictures, it made it complete. Again and again it is astonishing to see the beautiful works that nature has given us through time everywhere, and it is a pity that the human being does not always treat nature, and its legacy with respect. Thanks a lot, Peter, for sharing this amazing scenery with us, and letting us enjoy it. Thanks also for your guestbook entry in my album Various Nature & Scenery Pictures. I have some new albums on this site (wely246), one dealing with our vacation in Belgium last autumn and the latest is with pictures taken around the railwaystation of my hometown. Best wishes, Els
