  • Congrats on "Black Beauty" being picked for the Editors Collection! But how could they pick just one? I also love Athena, Blue Moon, Burgundy Iceberg, Joyfulness, Joyfulness Bud, China Doll with Bud, and Double Delight. That's quite a garden you have! Best wishes from SJ Abrams in Virginia.

  • Hi Gladys, you are absolutely right about viewing each other albums at about the same time, because I had just written my comment in your wildflowers guestbook, and a few minutes later you commented on my album Flowers my Garden. Wow Gladys you do have some beautiful roses in your garden! All pictures are excellent. I can see why you pictured the Flamingo many times. She is a beauty. But they are all beauties in their own way. The 2 pictures in which they are all together are also great. I really, really enjoyed the pictures! This year I have planted some new roses in my front yard, that are also sweet-smelling, and a beautiful yellow climbing rose that has a lovely smell. But I always forget their names, when I have taken off their name tag. Regarding the straw flowers, or Everlasting, I saw an album of Galit (854847) and in Israel they call it Immortelles. I find the sound of these 2 names much more beautiful than straw flowers. Friendly regards, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Gladys...Beautiful, beautiful roses. I love joyfulness because of the way the light hits it and the colours. But my very favourite is Flamingo...all of them. What a beautiful soft pink. They are all very beautiful and I would be proud to have them in my garden. warm regards, Barbara...ps..will get to your other albums soon.

  • Hi Gladys, I came for another visit. I still envy you. What a beautiful collection of roses. I'm somewhat partial to your Flamingo. It's hard to beat it for shape and tenderness of color. Greetings from steamy Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your warm words on my Zion album.

  • "Double Delight" is a magnificent beauty and probably my fav. among all the other mentionable beauties. Your garden must just be wonderfully fragrant, and the colours just leap out at you when you walk by....sounds like a lovely garden to admire and sit! Thanks for sharing your precious blooms. Sunny days and flamboyant hugs, amy

  • Hi Gladys! Wow! Your roses are gorgeous! One can tell how much love and care you put into your rose gardens. The photos are stunning also. I saw "Joyfulness& quot; in full bloom and bud form at Missouri Botanical Gardens just yesterday and found it to be one of my favorites. Your photo of that rose is so beautiful and elegant. Thanks for the sweet comments on my Iris album; I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a fun weekend. Sharon from Missouri

  • Hi Gladys, I am so happy you liked Diana's Ladybirds! :-)) Now I am waiting for your Poinsettias! Ours are without leaves now, but I have one in a pot - I got it at Christmas - and it is still blooming! Amazing! Be careful when get on the ladder to take pictures, or at least get some advise from Sheila - lensmate! She uses to get on a ladder to take pictures. I always wanted a picture of HER on a ladder but didn't get it . :-) Gladys, have a wonderful weekend, too! Galit

  • Hi Gladys, thank you for your visits in the guestbooks of my 'Mystery tree' and of the 'Red' album. I enjoy your messages always very much. You always have an answer for all my questions! :-) Yes, I visited the Bombax trees. There are no fruits, yet. It takes a lot of time, I think. The Chorisia is a far away member of that family. Their fruit shows together with the next year flowers, then later the fruit bursts and the white fiber shows. I see the trees every day. Right now they are naked, all the leaves are gone! I'll keep you posted, if you like. You made my day, as you like my cats in my 'red' album. I wasted a lot of energy in running after them. Meanwhile a lot of them got used to my camera and to the food I offer in return. A neighbor said, soon the cats will be chasing ME! Today I found a very lucky album . . . . http://community.webshots.com/album/318771670gcXZVg . . . .and of course I thought of you story! So . . look at this album and have a ten times lucky day! :-) Galit from Israel

  • Hi Gladys, what a coincidence - I just came from emphotos103's albums and here he just signed this guestbook. I love roses (especially Hybrid-Tea) and have grown some of the beautiful ones you show here. I'm so envious of your garden. Here in Florida, contrary to its name, flowers don't seem to grow as beautifully as they do in more temperate places and roses seem to be consumed by insects before they bloom. Great show! Thanks, Paul in Florida.

  • Hi Gladys...Tk you soo much for brightening my day with such a beautiful response to a such smalltime album. Yet>>it is a beautiful g/f's friend's garden that I have known since my late teen years...and she is soo proud of her Helliconia garden...and even her mum who is the 'flower queen' cannot compete with the beauty that just blossoms and flowers in such a magnifique way in her daughter's tropical oasis of an Aussie backyard!!.I have spent many a tropical time there over the past years....and the plants changed and oneday... there they were, in all the beauty. How could anybody resist taking a few snaps of that granduer...no matter the weather, the beauty cannot be disguised. Tks soo much for your ever uplifting comments Gladys. Take care and have a really great day....Kind regards Em

  • Dear Gladys, Gorgeous, gorgeous and gorgeous!! Your garden must look very beautiful indeed with all these exquisite and colourful roses in bloom. I can almost smell their perfume.... Although I prefer white roses, my favourites from your album have to be #22 Mister Lincoln 1 and #26 Double Delight. They are just perfect. Now Gladys, can I ask a big favour? Would you like to choose a favourite photo of yours from any of my albums. I'd like to post an album called 'Your Favourites'. It will be interesting for me to see what everyone's personal choice is. Thank you so very much. Have a wonderful week. Luv n'hugs Jayne xx

  • Hi Gladys...WOW girl...you sure have a bevy of beauty abounding in your garden!! They are absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful variety of color and no doubt scents!! Reminds me of Melbourne when I visited in November, and I could not get over the roses that just flourish and grow like weeds in my garden!! Except that the roses are just covering the trees (because they seem like it)...and I was like a kid in a lollyshop and sad that i had no camera. I thank you for the album of beauty that you share and your kind words in my Tigers album and I agree about thank goodness it preserves them. As for the card...yep!! I just needed my computer reformatted...and that has happened!! No matter how big the card, I still would use it up.!! Tks for sharing the beauty that you tend and nourish as it was a total joy...Take care and have a really great day. I did love Black Beauty...it is a stunner!! Kind regards...Em from Aussie

  • Hi Gladys, your roses are gorgeous as ever. You have roses in some very interesting colors, colors I've never seen in reality. The different Iceberg colors are amazing! The Cover picture is my absolute favorite! An extraordinary shot! I'm happy you like my Bottlebrushes! :-), Yes I saw those different types, those different colors too, but I - too - like more the red brushes! Meanwhile I searched more about my Mystery tree and found it in an tree catalog! ! ! ! Look again, hat tree is native in Australia - where else ;-) I updated the album accordingly. Thanks for remembering MY Ladybirds while seeing Keith's. :- I took a lot of photos and do not find the time for uploading, but soon. . . . . . I hope you are fine! Have a wonderful day! Galit

  • Hello Gladys, saw you in Shortshooters favourites so knew you had to be good. Impossible to pic the best they are all perfectly photographed. I live in a Commercial Rose bush rearing part of the world so this summer hope to get some new breeds, doubt whether they will be as good as yours though. Take Care Ken from England. PS I will be back to look at some of your other albums.

  • Hi Glads, these really exceptional photos of your roses. Such delicate colours in some, and so rich in others. Beautiful macros, a joy to view in a slide show. All the best, Keith.

  • Hi Gladys. I started writing down all the ones I like but gave up because I like them all. The ones I had before I gave up were the bergundy icebergs, black beauty, the full blown joyfulness and the circus in yellow and salmon. I think that was the first page. I wish I could smell them. I can honestly say I have not seen prettier roses. Feature material for sure if the users had anything to do with it. Well done mate. Cheers Al..
