Hi Ran, this is a wonderful album of a wonderful place. It shows, that I do not know my neighborhood. I've never heard about it! Your pictures are lovely! Omer is gorgeous! Thanks for your very special greetings to the birth of Yoav. I got much more greetings from the Webshot Community family, than from my own family! :-) Amazing - and wonderful! So you grew up with some German memories!? Interesting!. My husband had an aunt living in the Ben-Yehuda-strasse! You have the same memories as my husband about the German mother and talking German! :-)) Lots of wonderful stories! My mother in law learned Hebrew very well, even to write, but some day the youngest son came to her laughing, because she had written him a Hebrew letter without a single mistake. Then she decided, that it is not important if there are mistakes or not, they will always laugh! I think they did not forget a single mistake she had ever made. :-)) I know your mother from Tirza's albums. - I still have my German books, too. :-)) And that will not change!! About the Mallard ducks: The female has brown to light brown feathers all over. The male has wonderful shiny colors with a lot of green and blue and white. You cannot miss it! I think you are the first who ever read the story about my father's furniture, Thanks for that! :-) If he would be alive he would have been last year 100 years old. That's why I put the story there. The 'Sekreter' I got from him were from 1860. That was a very important year for the history of Medicine. I am in health service - so I thought it was important for me too and so I was interested in that piece of furniture. Some day I will take a picture an put it in my 'Holidays and some things' album. Then I'll tell you about it! Uelzen is a small place in the North of Germany. I is placed exactly in the middle between Hamburg and Hanover. Ran, have a wonderful day! Galit
