Hi Ken - Your photos are so bright & colorful...felt like I could step right into them. And you capture your subjects well. I started picking out favorites, but they got too many to say. So I'll just thank you for the lovely tour...it was great. And a late 'thanks' for stopping by my album awhile ago. Shirley :)

My daughter traveled to England four times. They love the nice buildings and beautiful homes, but I have never at England and I love to see all the out county places in the England farms and animals.

So nice to hear from you, Ken, and to have your comments in the "Downeast Maine" album. I appreciate your time and also the chance to take a peak again at some of your lovely albums. It is so nice to have such comprehensive photos of England for those of us who haven't visited for a very long time. Thanks a lot! All the best, Ken - Maryland/USA

This album really did have everything truly English...as I was going to St. Ives...thatched cottages, Constable paintings, manor houses, cathedrals, and personally, I'd like to be the bishop of Ely and live in that house! What great photographs and how informative you are! Thanks once again! Allie, St. George, Ontario, Canada.

Hi Ken: High time to take up our conversation. It's always a pleasure and surprise to open one of your albums - they are never "outdated" thanks to welcome additions. As in the present one we saw first a year ago, and that has got so colourful additions - each one for itself an invitation to come and look at this or that beautiful place! - Our album activity has been slowed down considerably by our repeated PC breakdowns (well, not a bad thing by 100%, the calm providing quiet evenings etc. ...!). Thank you for your kind words yesterday in our "Springflowers" report! We hope we can launch Nr.4 of "Gems and Fossils", some time after Easter. - Take care - all our best wishes: Kaethi and Henri

Hi Ken! Many thanks for your lovely message, but I think I have confused you.. The Pademelon in my photos is a Tasmanian animal, the Paddymelon you mentioned is similar to a small Watermelon, but has a prickly skin and cream flesh -- it is a curse to the farmers and spreads quickly if not controlled. Then there is the PieMelon, again it is similar to a Watermelon with cream flesh and used in Jams. Having said all that, I just did a Google Search and it appears that some people call the Animal a Paddymelon, although all the brochures I got call it a Pademelon. Now I am confused too... Good Luck... Gladys..

Hi Ken! Although I have never been to England, these magnificent scenes make me feel as though I am really there, and show England just the way I imagine it to be. You have picked the very best for this album and it would be a wonderful tourist brochure. Well done! I had to smile when I saw the River Ouse.. when in Tasmania we travelled through a town called Ouse. Of course all the early settlers were English. Thankyou for your nice g/b message and my second Tasmanian album is up now if you care to look.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Ken - I am slowly making my way through my GBs - sorry to take so long - but, first - this album. It is excellent! I loved every capture and so enjoyed viewing the slideshow. Makes me want to move to your part of the world. Such beauty. I am not familiar with the usage of Chocolate Box View - I guess I could use a little lesson to truly appreciate the phrase. If you have the time, please let me know. Now, thank you for your wonderful comment in my GB. I was away traveling to the East Coast of the USA and missed the excitement. It certainly has kept me busy. It was such a pleasure to hear from you. Thank you, again, Stan, California

Good Morning Ken, I can't recall if you kept the same cover photo. I recall that from before and love it. So many beautiful churches and steeples. I noted the round bales in the nice spring photo. Most of ours are wrapped in white plastic as you may note in my Retired Farm Machinery album which I haven't finished yet. You have so many great country scenery and reflection shots to enjoy. I think the album is great, Ken. Donna/NY

Hi ya Swampy. Seeing Fenland Spring - now I know why they call you Swampy! Great captures here and I want to know how you mastered that E500 so easily???? Doesn't bother me one bit that you are touting that Olympus. I'm still struggling with the Canon - its just too over my head. Plus lenses, lenses lenses - I need need more variety of lenses and cant afford them as yet. The colors provided by that Olympus are spectacular! My favorite here is Spring in Barrowden, I think. I just kind of melted into that one as soon as I saw it!! Great work my friend - now if it will only pass the scrutiny of my mother - this was one of her favorite albums of yours!! lol Hugs - Jeanie

Great add ons Ken and I definitely prefer Spring in Barrowden as you have it here. Excellent shots of the Cathedrals, Leaning House etc and of the originals I still go for The Lizard Point and Clovelly - mostly because of the memories they bring back I suppose. I love the thatched roofs, the Peterborough Cathedral, the beautiful architecture and #48, 'Springtime in Rural England'; she's a beauty! HEEHEEHEE! Dear Friend! I keep seeing each photo, I keep finding in each photo, I keep trying flipping through each photo (by turning around my LCD monitor), I keep smelling around each photo (my nose is nearly touching the LCD monitor again) ... all I can hardly find any yummy chocolate, all I can find only stunning beautiful scenery, all I can only say ... I love all these very very very attractive chocolate boxes, even without one single chocolate inside! English Chocolate Boxes ... The Best in the World! HAAHAA! Thank you for all these souvenirs! You're starting to get Aussie blue skies in your photos now I notice! I like all the last half dozen that you've just posted but the ones I went back to for a second, longer, look were the Village Green at Wickham and the Tides Out. But really, all of these are truly excellent photos and you are very fortunate to have such stunning scenery and the ability to capture it the way you do. Great work old buddy. Peter

I wanted to tell you that "Ballerina" has been dedicated to YOU!!!I hope you'll forgive my clumsiness. Sincerely, Gabriela (on Yoshiyuki's site)

Hi Ken, I enchants to me the designs and the tile roofs of the English houses. Their elegance and its simplicity always have called my attention. Also it enchants to me the green meadows and fields that accompanies almost all the photos, always heighten the beauty of the takings. Particularly I like much photo 37 with that flower wonder and the impressive look of photo 45. Thanks to share its country in WS. Thanks also for its amiable words in my featured of yesterday. You with me are very amiable and very generous. Best whises for you and yours. Jesus

Hello Ken! The typical English ... countryside, village, houses, rivers, gardens, cathedral! The English ... peacefulness, tranquilness, sunshine (quite rare to me!), greenery, I can even enjoy the light wind, the fresh air! Yes! I agree with you, I can enjoy the very English pictures. Thank you so much for allowing me to enjoy one of my favourite feelings ... the English feeling. Thank you very much for enjoying my Bavarian feeling too! WONDERFUL AND HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU! Hi Ken: I can't believe I haven't visited this album before! These are the views of England I love--someday soon I'll see them for myself! In the meantime,I depend on you to supply my quota of British life!I find I'm especially fond of the thatched roofs and Ely cathedral---the gardens and river views, too! Since you occasionally have time for a pint, what about an album on pubs--inside and out?--take care--Nancy.

Hi Ken, your album is beautiful, fantastic, wonderful, brillient. i really mean that. Love the Cathedral, the Thatched house's. Got to beat anything on the web. You asked if I used flash in the Liverpool Cathedral, yes, but really there was that much light, I did not need it. Thanks for your kind words and the G/B entry. Best wishes. Ray and Eileen.

G'day old mate. I love the additions to this album - a great job if I may say so. Is it possible to take photos INSIDE either Ely or Peterborough Cathedrals? I would really like to see what their windows are like. You probably won't be allowed to use flash (we aren't) but ordinary available light should be enough.I was also delighted to see another photo of Wansford village and it's main street. An all over good job mate. Goodonyer. Peter

I have never heard of it being known as the "Ship of the Fens" either but I can see why it is. Take care now and thanks for your GB entries today It was a lovely walk down to the sea this afternoon and its only a couple of miles from home Jill

Woah Ken! What a marvellous album! I cannot imagine why I didn't see earlier in the month. Superb photography of wondrous village scenes typifying England as we know and love it. Those narrow boats are just gorgeous and I was recently reading a book by and about a couple who lived permanently on one of them and spent their days cruising up and down the canals of England. Now if this album doesn't get featured then there is simply no justice in the Webshots sytem. All best wishes old sausage, Peter
