  • All photographs are of professional quality, you have brought life to the statues of temples of Hoysalas of Halebidu and Belur. Social life (paddy harvesting) has been brought out its minute details. Not seen yet your other albums, I am sure they will be delights for the eyes. From the albums details one can conclude that you are a world traveler. I wish you all the best for your future travel endeavors and hoping to get the best clicks from you. • You made my mouth water when you were talking about the blackberries. We were there at the wrong season for that, but they do have great fruit. I can attest to that. This is a wonderful album. I have not been to India, but you make it look so good. Dianna

  • A diverse and expansive country that marries the exotic with the historical. Many different flavours, cultures, religions, people, architecture, and music to collide in a huge captivating extravaganza and can't help but get swept up in the enchantment. You have documented a thorough account of your many trips around much of the country and capture the true essence of what India possess. Every photo has a personal story and charm to it! Many thanks always Jacques for sharing the magic that India keeps in her pocket. Warm smiles and friendship, amy

  • Dear Jacques! I apologize for not writing sooner, I looked many times at this wonderful album, and wanted to write more, but I had an extremely busy week, and never had a chance... It's another fantastic album, full of art, people, life and history! The photographs are beautiful both in quality and in the choice of subjects, all artistic and documentary at the same time! My favorites are so many: #1 (the little girl),7 (Karnataka River Fishermen); 9 (the yellow flowers); 12, 15, 19, 21, 22, 26, 37 - (the Eswara temple pictures are splendid! - I love the black statues); 38- gorgeous boy smiling; 42; 43, 44, 51, 53 54, 55, 58, 59(the columns); 60 (amazing!), 61, 63 (black columns); 65, 67 (the black statues are superb!); 72, 73 (the market colors); 76 (amazing portrait of the farmer!); 77, 78 (the ginger plantation is unbelievably beautiful and interesting); 79 (the farmhouse with such as lovely pond with waterlilies and purple flowers, and the splendid peacefulness); 81 (the cart and sugar cane plantation); 83 (the harvest scenery); and the Mysore lighted like a dream. I truly believe you are a great photo-journalist! Not only you make quality photos, but you document the daily life, the people, the architecture in a way that makes so fascinating for the viwer! This is a gorgeous album! Congratulations, and BON VOYAGE! in your upcoming trip! Love, Ina

  • Hello Jacques! What a perfect, fascinating and well documented trip to Belur and Halebid!! It is one of my favourite spots as far as detailed stone carvings are concerned. Last time I was there was some 25 years ago when the children were younger! I have always been astounded by the intricacy of the work which you have brought out so well in pictures # 25,26,28,36,43,44,47,58 and 59. The picture of Karnataka beach #4 is a photographer's delight, so is the river scene #7. The market pictures and the flowers were also delightful. I am happy you were able to visit Halebid. Thank you too for the very appreciative comments in my guestbook on my Uzbek album. I am glad you enjoyed it. I value your comments as a friend and as a great photographer and chronicler. You must be getting ready for the long trip. I wish you all the luck and look forward to your beautiful pictures. Bon Voyage! Best wishes and warm regards to Pierre abd you, Suresh

  • A magnificent album, Jacques - my congratulations. I enjoyed the entire slide show from beginning to end - the scenery, the people and flowers. I was most impressed with the intricacy of the temple detail, wondering if each figure - people, elephants, etc. were produced individually, or if they had worked out some form of mass production? Whatever the case, the detail is just amazing. Also enjoyed seeing the illuminations at the end of your album - much better than Disneyland.... Once again, enjoy your trip to US and Canada! Bon voyage! Best wishes, bruno

  • Jacques, these are treasures! The Incredible Smiles of India are all superb - you have such a gift for bringing out the best in people. The night shots are astounding, and the details of the temple are very intriguing. But I think the photo I like best is #81 - the hay truck. It's so "real". Have a great trip to the US. I wish we could meet up while you're here, but I guess it is not meant to be this time. I'm looking forward to the photo journey when you return. All my best to you and Pierre! Warm hugs, Beth
