You asked what those were, they are milk weed pods. Milk weed is the food source for the monarch butterfly. The pods contain the seeds that are attatched to a fluffly down like stuff that carries the seeds on the wind. I live in New Hamshire. This is my second try to sign the guestbook, hope it works, :) Love you pics.
