Hi Jayne, could it be, to be the first again?! Sure it will be an extraordinary album! The first picture definitely is! :-) Lovely flowers and an beautiful window! I am happy you liked my new Beetle album. I thought would like the combination! Love and Power AND THE BEETLES! There were some white flowers too, but I thought they are not enough powerful! Yoav is fine, I think. They took him on a holiday in Eilat. Meanwhile I am babysitting their dog!! Have a lovely day - and that Beatle song again!! - Galit :-)

Come on Jayne stop teasing us, at least there is three now, To answer a question what is a Devils tongue, your guess is as good a mine, it was on the lable and there was nobody near to explain what it was. I shall have to come back when it is complete. BFN Ken

Hello Jayne! This is going to be one incredible album if the first three shots are anything to go by. The doorway is sublime and the countryside... Are you SURE that's England in that photo??!!! The telltale church in #3 gives it away but #2 sure could find a home in my Sonoma Country Countryside album and not feel a bit out of place. I've always said all we're missing are the churches and the odd ruin ;-) (Not to mention the stone walls and hedgerows too, of course). Keep 'em coming - this will be featured before you know it. Love and hugs, Beth

Oh my dear friend Jayne, how are you! Been a busy few months for me and yes I have been a lucky girl with the features! I always love your Gb comments and love keeping in touch with you. Before I answer some questions you asked, I wanted to comment on this album first. These shots definetly take me back to when I lived there, and my fav. photo is "Rusty Gate"! When we lived in Markyate we used to take walks along the footpaths through beautiful wheat and rape fields. However, the smell of the Rape seed was terrible ( kinda like urine)plus it reeked ( pun intended :) ) havoc with my allergies. Still it was a wonderful time, and always enjoyed the walks. Thanks for a spark of memories! So onto the next half....yes I am the wife of an ex-pat worker for DHL and we get shifted from country to country every 2-3 years depending on the contract. Bahrain is interesting but limited and I find that I get bored very easily, not allowed to work either so yes.....I am disliking this place more and more the longer I am here. I really love visiting back home in Seattle, which i was just there for 4 months and really didn't want to come back ( to bahrain that is), oh well. We have already been here for a year, so we have another one to go with a possible year extention after that, but who knows! Contracts changes quickly as well as the venue, and never know what is coming til the last minute. Keeps us on our toes I guess. So there, that is why I am in the middle east. Hopefully chat to you later, my sweet friend. Til then, take care and always sending warm smiles, amy

Hi Jayne, What a coincidence, we should combine this album with the one I have just posted. I came to me Saturday night at the Battle Proms. Jerusalem and all that. But this is lovely, I have enjoyed it immensely, I am sure you will get a lot of viewings for this. They are both on the same theme but very different. it is good to see other peoples views on the same subject, no doubt you will have a peek when you have time. I shall as always be interested what you think, take care Ken

"Oh to be in England," is lovely, but first, let me share my sympathy and understanding for what England is suffering today with the terrorist activities in London. With the G8 summit beginning, evil souls were at work again. I pray the world leaders understand again that these attacks can happen ANYWHERE. ............ Now on a MUCH lighter note, your photos are BEAUTIFUL!!! ... There are too many lovely ones for me to choose a favorite. Have you shared before what camera you are using? I'm researching . . . Keep up the good work. Judy aka L@dybug / FL

Dear Jayne, The events in London were just horrific and so glad you are not right there. I do have relatives in N. London near southgate. To this album you have posted it is gorgeous as the English countryside is just spectacular. I particularly loved the ones of the rusty fence. The way you positioned them in is great. The yellow flowers in the background - are they gorce? Don't know if I spelled it right but that is how my cousins pronounced it. I just loved the fields filled with it when we were there. I updated my flowers 2005 album today as we went to the dentist and the whole yard on one side of the drive was just loaded with wild flowers. Could not resist adding them to my album. Love Janet

Hi Jayne! Thanks for the sweet comments in my Colorado album. I was saddened by the news of the terrorists' acts in London, and from reading others' comments below, can see that you are not there, so at least can be glad that you're OK. I really enjoyed viewing your album and loved the wonderful photo compositions and the presentation. Thanks so much. Sharon from Missouri

Dear Jayne, I was so relieved to get your email today and to know that you are safe. I hope all of your friends and family are safe as well. I'm just devastated by the cruelty that once again rears it's ugly head. I found out that my niece has not left for London yet, so I was relieved. Your photos are so beautiful. I love the rusty gate, the river boats and the lavendar. Great Job!! Take care my dear Jayne. Lots of love 'n' hugs. Donna

Hello Jayne, a great album, beautiful surroundings where you live. I like the countryside very much. Sometimes you have not go too far from home to take the best pictures ever. Although I like all the pictures very well, nrs. 4 (rusty gate), 18 (wild flower and wheat) 32 (wheat field) are definitely my favourites. Sorry that it took a while to react on your guestbook entry in City Trip to Antwerp, but we have been away on a 2-weeks vacation in Belgium, and after our return there was a lot of gardening to do. Best wishes, Els (evanwely/wely246)

I love the fields with the close-ups on the wheat, the thistle and the lavender, the wonderful tree with the gate and the beautiful houses with windows full of blooming window boxes. Thanks for your wonderful comment in the guestbook of Yoav's album. For your holiday in Italy I wish you the very best! I hope you will have a wonderful time and come back with thousands of new pictures! :-) Galit

Dear Jayne, this is a magical album!!! So many colours and so many fields, Nature's call to all of us to find happiness in simple things! The flowers in hanging baskets and the geraniums under the windows, at the windows, on top of doors create lovely images, homely and welcoming. And the lavender took my breath away, I even tried to feel its perfume. Thanks for so much beauty of which I have now full the eyes! Best regards from Yoshiyuki Tanaka

Hi Jayne: So nice to hear from you again when you visited my Napa Valley album this morning! I can't tell you how much I like your work. This one on scenes near your home is stunning. The colors and nice compositions are really outstanding. For some reason I am really drawn to the photo of the person reading the paper on the front of their canal boat (14??) That one tells me a wonderful and colorful story all in itself. England has such great scenery and you do it great justice. All the best, Ken - Maryland/USA

hi jayne, this is such a nice album! something quaint about it. love to see the scenery around your area. sorry you have not been feeling well. hope your better soon. glad you liked the flag! unfortunately, it is not the english flag. i put it up there for you, but, please, do not feel obligated.... i have ruined many a photo when taking pictures if i have inadvertently gotten into it, so i try and be very careful, just by moving to the side a bit. i do not like my picture or reflection to be taken! LOL... will not be here for a couple weeks as i am off on holiday tomorrow to the states. guess i am going at a good time with the maintenance they will be doing on here. lynn

Oh Jayne, right now I want to be the guy (or girl) sitting on that canal boat reading the newspaper! Oh I miss living in the country side. These lovely pictures of yours just ooze calm, cool, serenity. The yellow rapeseed fields are always a favorite when I get lucky enough to go back to Germany at just the right time, our rolling hills are covered! Thanks for another wonderful trip to the English Country side! I've been looking for that Aussie Mailbox photo with the milk cans, can't find it, sorry, that was so cool! But I did find another neat American Mailbox one, album Welcome to Texas, Postmaster General, towards the end, it's a little different? If you like it you're welcome to it!
