  • G'day, Gladys! Just got done trippin thru another one of your awesome albums! Your skyline reflections of Perth are fantastic! Enjoyed the fauna & flora, and of course the blue skies. Got kinda misty eyed when I saw the riverboat to Fremantle (my favorite town). Thanks so much and have a great week. Marita

  • Hi Gladys. This is a very good album, your winter shots reminds me a lot of our Florida winter. I'm not sure of the temperature you spoke of as I'm unsure of the ratio of celcius to farenhight (where is that spell check when you need it?) LOL I also viewed your roadside stops album and enjoyed it very much also. I downloaded the lead photo from that album. Thanks for your visit to my albums and your comment on my cloud pictures. I spend a lot of time with my camera pointed upwards! My personal favorite from my own photos is the "color in the sky" series. We get such pretty sunrises and sunsets here. Take care and thanks for sharing your talents. Don

  • Hi Gladys, this is a wonderful album! The winter sun shows everything in wonderful colors. I see now the Coral trees are blooming at YOUR place, bringing you the next springtime. Your pictures are gorgeous as ever, but there a some I have to give you my special compliments. I like very much the black swan in picture # 11. The reflection and the movement of the water give such a special effect! WOW And I enjoyed very much all the tree images. The paperbark tree is new for me. A beautiful tree. The skyscrapers in the background are very impressive! # 49 the swan river - an other perfect shot! Another WOW :-) Gladys, thanks for your wonderful comments in my guestbooks. Meanwhile I discovered that Webshots fixed that 'shuffle bug' of the new program manager. No more unwanted NEW signs for moving! Thanks for the link to the beautiful Frangipani site. Unbelievable so many different forms and colors. I see here only the one form, but hundreds of trees. Most of them are too high to get close-ups without a ladder . . . .so I am always looking for the smaller ones. Gladys, have a wonderful weekend! - Galit

  • Hi Gladys, beautiful these red flowers against that crystal blue sky! I also like the pictures of Perth skyscrapers and their reflection in the water (1, 25) very much. Thanks for sharing, it is a real joy to look at this album. Yes the waterfalls of Iceland are really spectacular, it is a pity I did not had my digital camera then. Greetings from Holland, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Hi again Gladys, thanks for coming back to me on my snorkel album, May I say, it is never to late to learn! I did not swim untill I was over 50, now I cannot keep out of the water. Whenever I snorkel I always wear a blow up snorkel vest & keep it blown up. OK so I cannot go under water but you can see a lot from floating om top, believe me it changed my life. I am not a strong swimmer due to a slight medical prob but just take it very carefully. The fish go about their buisiness & you look down like a spaceman looking down on Earth! I broached the subject of WA today & did not get an outright rejection ...providing I make a w..l first! Love that paper bark tree photo in this album. Eric

  • Hi Gladys..What a glorious album! This should be featured for sure. I love the skyline of Perth with the fountains in the foreground. I love the park and waterfall, the swan sculptures, the street with the nice red leafed tree and all the beautiful scenery. I love the serene photos you took and I am sure it would be a lovely walk and then on to the park and the Swan River, which is beautiful also. I love your shots of Perth from there. Your photos are very clear and crisp, something I wish mine would be. Do you have a really great camera? Or are you really talented? Or both? Wonderful album. warm regards, Barbara

  • Hello again Gladys I have to agree with Ken it is superb album. With you and all of my other Australian contacts I will soon be an authority on Australia and be apply for a Guides job. Mind you with the camera attachments on my Zimmer frame they would be a long time getting around. This digital photography has a lot to answer for because of a spinal problem I was over weight and had a problem walking. I have lost 20kl in three months and now walk around five to ten miles a day plus cycle again. What chasing birds can do for you? By the way the temperature here today is 16C cloudy and raining. Will watch out for more from you, rot now take care. Paul

  • Hi Gladys I always enjoy not only seeing pictures from "down under", but also learning about the place. Most of what we see here in the US is about the awesome beauty and harsh climate of the outback (sort of like our own southwest). I didn't think that it got that cold (near freezing) there, but I guess that in that way also it is like our own southwest in winter. Perth seems open and clean with plenty of green places and clean air. Both the city and this album are beautiful. I particularly like the fountains. Thanks for bringing them to me and greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thanks also for your many wonderful comments about so many of my albums, but it is difficult to get many bad pictures in southern Utah and the ones I took, I left out. Thanks again.

  • Hi Gladys! Your cityscape, reflections, swans and beautiful fountain shots, big blue skies and gorgeous trees...are just stunning Gladys, and this is a truly beautiful album full of just stunning shots and for us all, it is a long awaited album and what a ripper! I loved the Green and Gold shot..and Sunshine Yellow Daisies. Tranquility is so reminiscent of many places in Aussie and it lies within the city. WOW!! City Sunshine is gorgeous and the beauty and grace of the Black Swans is always such a joy to see as they are what I think of when I think of Perth and it's natural beauty. There are just too many wonderful shots to name them all, but I really really loved your reflection shots as they are soo serene. This is a gorgeous album Gladys sharing and displaying the beauty of the big city and I love it!! EXCELLENT!!!! Looking down and reading the comments below, it looks like we all agree with the superb job you have done of capturing this great Winter City in the West. Thks heaps for sharing this beautiful album Gladys!! Take care, and have a really great day....Hugs Em

  • An excellent album Gladys and what a lot of people wouldn't realise is that almost all of those photo locations are within half a mile of the City centre. Don't be surprised if you have a call from the Tourism people wanting to use some of these for their next batch of promotions. Thanks for your email yesterday and I am glad you are now back on track once again after a bad trot in recent weeks. Peter

  • Hi Gladys. I smell a feature with this album. This is my favourite Gladys album. I love everything about it, the still water and reflections, the fantastic photos of the Perth CBD (I'm guessing)of which I downloaded two almost the same but on closer inspection I noticed that you moved the camera about two inches. You and your fixed camera have done an amzing job and as you can no doubt tell, I'm gobsmacked. I don't think I have seen such blue skies in photos. Maybe that's just in mine I'm thinking of. Thanks for sharing this treat with me. Your mate from the other side of the country Al...
