Hi Loree. Thank you for your comments on my Thelma and Louise album. This (Great American West) album is fantastic. I really enjoyed looking through your albums (sodapop90 too). You have a wonderful eye for a shot and live in / have travelled to some truly beautiful places. As a Brit I envy you - I can only get to the U.S.A. once or twice a year. You are a beautiful lady, inside and out. All the best, John. mrlocation@fsmail.net

Thank you for the kind comments on my albums today, I'm glad that you stopped by. The 'Waiting to be Fed' photo from the 'Loving the Farm' album is not MY farm but it will always be home to me, this is where I grew up in Northeastern Alberta. My brother has now settled on this same land with his family so I get to see it often. The older I get the more I feel the need to return to familiar places and share them with my children. Thank you for referring me to another moon album, I will check it out soon. I really loved this album of yours - is that view of the mountains really from YOUR front porch?! It is just magnificent! I can't wait to see all of your other albums, it will take me a while - you have a lot of photographs on both of your sites! Roxanne

Hi mate and I'm glad you liked Winter on the West Aussie Coast. Pretty quick off the mark with the GB too - this time yesterday I'd only just about taken the first photo!! But couldn't leave a brand new camera lying on the table looking sorry for itself could we? It's a Sony DSC R-1 by the way, to answer your question. There's a whole heap of stuff about it in Google. I have a feeling I'm going to get very attached to it! catch you again later. Love and hugs, Peter

Thank You, For signing my guest book and the nice comments. I will leave a short caption soon on each picture. The majority of the photographs were taken at the Jersey Shore in New Jersey USA. The lighthouse is the Barnaget Lighthouse in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. I was flying the kite next to it and taking the picture at the same time. I started my hobby of photography two years ago. My camera is a Sony F828. It’s a great camera but it has a fixed lens. F2.8 TO 200. I have plans on getting a Cannon EOS-1Ds Mark II. “Dance Like No One’s Watching!” :o) John

Hello Lorrie, what a fantastic album this is. The images, the quality of your photography, and your quirky humour, all combine to make this album as much an adventure as it is a viewing pleasure. So many brilliant shots, although I think your cover shot is stupendous. So much of it looks a little like, yet different from, the Australian outback. Great work, and thanks for the effort you clearly out into this album. All the best from Keith in Sydney.

Love the album! Especially the "Mad Cow?"... >:) I haven't stopped by for some time. Your photography is coming along nicely! Love the bears...how can anyone not love bears (as long as they aren't in my garden that is). The long road home is really nice...so is the wasp nest. I really like the building textures (with broken window) and star valley too. Thanks for the browsing experience. Wishing you the Best, Jeff McGraw -- Hope you will drop by my albums again some time.

Hi Lorrie, What a grand collection of images! Some are bigger than life spectacular, some are humorous and yet others are simple and elegant. I particularly like the tree fungus and the reference to the honeymooners. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your very kind words on my Lowry Zoo album. By the way, the first album I checked out was your “Precious Moments In Our Lives”, but it was too painful to sign that guestbook. I had to go and answer other members’ guestbook entries and then return here.

Hi Lorrie, Thanks for the note in my featured guestbook this morning! It was wonderful to wake up to notes from so many of my friends! After our trip to Colorado this past summer, we decided to relocate here. We moved from California the week before Thanksgiving, so notes from so many of my Webshots friends has really helped me feel the warmth of friendship, even though my circumstances are all so new (especailly this bitter cold that we have experienced this past week!!!) Hope all is well with you and that you have a wonderful Christmas season! God bless you, Lynn

HI Lorrie! WOW! That's all I can say about this album. I started to write down favorites but ran out of room - they are all so magnificent. I really must comment on #1, 80, and 99 however - they were above outstanding and are now in my screensaver (no matter what webshots statistics say!) Truly stunning - some day I will see all these places if I can convince my husband to skip Europe one year for our vacation. Thanks for your nice comments in my All Creatures album. Yorkshire still looks like it did in the TV show! Warm greetings from California, Beth

Now we have done 3 tours in the Americam west & as I looked, I found nothing i had seen before! untill page 6 when I found Lamoille. We really enjoyed our evening trip out there & up the canyon. Lorrie, I am so happy to see you're back. I do understand your initial reaction very well, this forum should be all about the love of photography and not about any kind of political or religious agenda. I agree with you that management showed very poor judgement with featuring an album that had more of a political than a photographic emphasis. All this said, there is NO shame in you missing this forum after the many great times you have shared here. I am sure you have motivated people to higher standards in their photgraphy and creativity and you have brought many a smile, tear, frown or surprise on poeple's faces by the work you have shared so far. Welcome back and I am looking forward to all your new pictures. Robert from Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Holy Crap!! You just popped up as having new photos and I get here and see your message....Al never tells me anything, just wait till I get ahold of him! I know of many people that are frustrated and my membership has just come due. I thought about canceling also (even deleted some of my albums then realized I didn't have these pictures anywhere else) but once I found out everyone is giving them hell I felt better. For what its worth, I worked in IT (information technology - i.e. computer main frames)for 26 years. Software and upgrades DO present problems - its the nature of the beast no matter what the industry. If WS is like all the other companies I am familiar with, 1 or 2 people actually KNOW what they are doing and are working their tails off to fix it, the rest are riding their coattails which just delays the resolution. I did NOT care for the attitude I received from WS Tech Support - real snotty winch who shall remain nameless - but YOU know who you ARE. I think the situation could be helped with a little more sympathetic explanation to their customers and less condescending advice that has nothing to do with the freakin' problem!! But I think this will end eventually. Glad you decided to stay on board. I always enjoy viewing your world, Lorrie and hope you continue to share glimpses every now and then!! Jeanie

OH Lorrie I sure was surprised to see you back here! But... am very thrilled indeed. Like I have told you... I suppport you no matter where you choose to place your photos. You are a great photographer & I would have followed you anywhere !!! Just know you are loved ,admired & supported.I hope Webshots will come to their senses though about some of these rediculous features. Why don't all of us band together & refuse to offer any guestbook comment whenever an album should NOT be featured.I mean some are totally rotten as far as the photography is concerned. Those sorts of albums being featured will not help any of us become better photographers! Welcome Home...Kathryn

Hi, Lorrie; I just found out from your friend, Al, that you are leaving Webshots. It saddens me deeply because you're one of the people that I admire the most on Webshots as a person and as a photographer. I hope you'll let us know if you're going to post your photos somewhere else. Your grace and talent will be a great loss to Webshots. I, too, am playing with the idea of leaving Webshots and many of my friends that I made through this site, are too. They, like you, are disgusted by the attitude of management. I think they're growing too big for their breeches and that's going to be their downfall. Whatever your path might be, good luck! Carmela.

Dear Lorrie.... I made my comment on the controversial subj at hand in your 'Sodapop90' alias album. As is obvious in viewing the many albums you have shared with us through Webshots, you are a true trailblazer. May the paths you choose take you further and higher than you ever imagined they could. God bless always. ....deb.....

OH Lorrie It's unbelieveable how much Silverwood has grown.I remember taking Jeremy (my son ) to the park years ago.It was fairly new then.We lived north of Spokane(for 21 yrs) & of course the park wasn't too far away.It was loads of fun then but now from your pictures I can see it's a regular Disneyland! No wonder you were so pooped. I'll bet the grandkids had the time of their lives though! I appreciate soooooooo much your loving guestbook comments. What a dear person & friend you are! By the way...that is just so gracious of you to want to send me photos of Kingdom Halls in Wyoming. It sure will be a treat as I have NONE from that state at all. Looking forward to it. Meanwhile....enjoy your summer & don't forget to sit on the front porch & sip your vino....while taking in the glory of God's creation. And Wyoming sure got a handfull of it there. Much Love....Kathryn

Who is that fellow below, don't he know that he is old as well, lol. I'm afraid we all are. Its how you handle it that matters, I love the roller coasters and the more scary the better, so he will not be a gentleman and take you on the rides I certainly would. Hows that for class mate. Been busy today building an airraid shelter. You scared the pants of Carolynn, some thing I have a job doing but never the less it is good advice. Home for a rest and recuperation, and a new dog to look after, go get them gal Ken from the good old Swampy Fens

Great Album, lots of bright colors and many really great photos here. You captured the mood of the park perfectly. Love the rollercoaster rides, but I loose my lunch on all the spining rides..HA! Never could handle those, don't even like to watch them. Lorri, do hope you enjoy yourself on your vacation. I know your grandchildren will enjoy their full of life Grandma you. Hugs, Laura

Brilliant opening shot. LOVE that 'blue' sky!! How many rides did the kids make you go on? I like the thrill rides. Went on the Manhattan Express and the Big Shot (twice) and roller coaster at the top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. Scarey or what!! Hope you're having a GREAT time. Just don't get overdoing things. Hope you're not missing Foreman too much. Luv ya. Jayne xx

Was it the big kids looking after the old kid or the other way round, I am not sure, at least I have got here before you know Who, but poor soul is lumbered answering all his fan mail, I looks as if the old kid had a good time, pretty colours and a merry go round time was had by all, Glad to be first to sign, your UK pal from across the pond Ken
