This was a very interesting album. I love to read about other countries and their cultures, even though some of them seem strange to me. I guess ours would seem strange to them as well. It's a lot of fun to learn new things. Thanks for sharing your safari. Judia

Nice pictures. You must have had a very interesting trip to Tanzania. Kilimanjaro was home to some of our friends here. There once was an Australian girl who married a Masai man. She didn't want to be circumcised like the other young girls. But they accepted her, but said that in their eyes she would always seem like a little girl, instead of a woman, even though she was married. The marriage didn't last too long anyway. I cannot imagine these practices still going on. They are very painful and often go hand in hand with terrible infections. It is just another form of not seeing women as equal human beings.
