I was hoping you had pictures from along the Gunflint Trail. It's awesome! There's an area that looks just like Paramount Pictures opening, what with the mountain in front of the lake surrounded by pine trees. Of course, that was 25 years ago. Fantasitc album all the same. (I think I still have some of the pebbles from that north shore.)

Hello Sharon, onlysix moingths ago I said this album was worthy of a feature. The Blog travel feature may not generate quite the same volume of views, so I'm still waiting for the Feature. Nevertheless, it's an excuse for me to visit again and enjoy these beautiful blue scenery. I hope many others will visit as well. Celebratory hugs from Keith.

Hi Sharon. This is a beautiful album. What attracted me to it in the first place is that internet friends of mine, who live in St Cloud, have a boat at Duluth and spend almost all of their summers up there. They have sent me a few photos but nothing as comprehensive as this. Now I have a much better idea of what it is that attracts them to that area. Wonderful. Thanks for looking at my Forests album and writing in my GB - we are heading for the forests next week for a few days so it's highly likely there'll be a heap more photos as a result! Catch you again so cheers for now, Peter

Hi Sharon, thanks for your visit, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the albums as well. Looking over all those beautiful pictures, and some of the cute captions you have, I thought I should mention.. Catching fish, has absolutely nothing to do with fishing! LOL You have some really wonderful shots, and I have looked at a couple of your other albums too. I'll be back to enjoy more of them very soon! Cheers, Haig/Phoenix

Cool photos! Just got back from backpacking on the North Shore. It's my favorite place in the world. And I see you've got some shots of Betty's Pies. I've driven by the place hundreds of times, but have yet to stop in. My stomach always grumbles at thier tastey sign, a pie sounds good after camping & living on granola bars. Anywhoo, thanks for sharing!

Dear Sharon, it's a long time that I've seen such excellent shots taken of a lake, I mean such perfect shades of blue where one can stare without getting bored! The following shots simply took my breath away:4/14/15/16/23/27/28/ 36/38/40/51/53/54/74/75/8 6/88/95. The list is long, but so is the album! It is indeed a place to go and enjoy. Thanks to you I could enjoy it, too. Friendly regards from Yoshiyuki Tanaka

What an impressive lake, I new it was the largest, but WOW! It goes beyond the horizon. Just amazing photos my friend, all beautiful. Enjoyed taking this drive with you and Clarence. My Swedish mother was raised in Minnesota. But it was my grandmother who told me many a pretty wild tells about her young life with grandpa out on those lakes...HA! Hi Sharon...This album is so gorgeous. This is a place I would love to visit. I love the blue waters and the scenery is wonderful!! I bet the pies at Betty's are delicious! I love the views from the top of the lighthouse the very best. I like the barge too. Our son-in-law works on the ships on Lake Superior mainly but does make it here through the canal sometimes. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. hugs and love, Barbara

What is your favorite type of pie, cream or fruit pies? Both sound delicious. Put it together with the scenery, fresh air, and cool breezes, that's the only kind of dream vacation to have, and of course for the men, FISHING! Wish we had been there. Love to you and Clarence. HAPPY! Dear Sharon! Happy to be No.1! Thank You! This is not simply the most scenic drive for me, I keep dreaming if I can drive my beloved VW along such a spectacular route, listening to my favourite Yanni music, a cup of coffee next to me, a tin of my favourite peanuts, then seeing your blue sky up above, the impressing country road along the shoreline, the green trees, the beautiful lighthouse. I even enjoy driving alone, enjoying the scenery. Thank you very much for this scenic drive dear friend. HEHEHE! I keep working on my little fun, and is absolutely very happy to share more with my friends. Happy Smiles and Happy Weekend to Dear Sharon from CS!
