Hello Jayne, you are a true Brit, I have seen loads of pub signs, but never thought of taking photos of them, I always look at them and think of you and the great photos you take of them. Well done. Best wishes, Ray and Eileen. (UK)

Hello Jayne, it sure has been quiet this last three weeks, but you are certainly up and running again at full pelt, Pub Signs always a good subject, they are so inventive and different, there are never the same black horses for example. My old pub was called The Globe Inn but I have never seen the same sign as we had, Keep at it and see you soon Ken

Hi Jayne and welcome back to England's green and pleasant land. I am looking forward to seeing how Italy looks through your camera lens. Many thanks for writing in my guestbook, especially as you are so busy with your own photos. best wishes, Peter

Hi Jayne, There is no end to these pubs, I do believe that they are much better kept than in my days of being a landlord, then it was just beer swilling tap rooms darts and dominoes, now it is food, food and more food, but with drink and driving that is not suprising that the image has changed. Nice sullection and the beauty is that whereever you go there are always more. It is marvellous that you never see two signs the same. Keep up the good work to encourage more people to our fair land even though Beth comes and steals our thunder lol, it was a good album of hers to get featured. keep em coming and god bless, Ken the Fen, xx Did not get my wrists slapped so I can do it again lol PS delete as requested, and oh! yes Shirley Valentine, I could not resist it also

Thank you very much for bringing back such wonderful memories of the life in England, I now live in BC Canada but visit as often as possible. There are so-called 'pubs' over here but they are nothing like the British pub, nothing can touch the enjoyable evening of sitting in a pub & visiting with friends, (even strangers soon become friends). I was born in Kent, the Romney Marsh area. That is a good idea of yours about taking photos of the pub signs, they are one of the many things that are overlooked when visitors come to Britain.

Hi Jayne, what a wonderful album featuring our unique old British Inns and their colourful Inn signs.I have often admired the artistry and individuality of these old Inn signs and don't they make a great subject that is so much a part of our heritage.I have toyed with the idea of making an album of old Westcountry Inns and this super album only increases my desire to do it,so that's yet another task for me to relish next year, lol, thanks for sharing them and for your lovely comment on my Around Devon album,Kind Regards,Rod.

Hi Jayne, thank you so much for the G/B entry on Norway Part 2, it was featured 24 9 04. LOL. Thank's for the G/B anyway. I love this album of yours, so I hope you don't mind me coming back. It reminds me of when I was young and free. LOL. All your albums are taken with great care, I can tell you study the object, then off you go, and you have a good photo. You take great photos Jayne. Keep shooting, best wishes. Ray and Eileen. Lancashire.

Hello Jayne, getting another nice collection together now. I see you have been round my old stamping ground in the "Black Country". Your albums of pub signs even intrude into my thoughts as i drive around & think "Jayne would like that one". Last week we passed one the "Canary's & Linnets", halfway between Norwich & Kings Lynn & those are their football teams nicknames. Eric

Hello Jayne Finally managed to get photo's of those 2 old postboxes in Gent (I've put them in "postboxes, Gent, Belgium if you care to take a look. Alas, they need some tlc!). Love this album of yours' too, you gave me a new idea for a "Belgian" or at least a "Gent" collection to start on. Again, not a lot of those are still around here, but there are 2 near the postbox at St. Veerle square! Well, it's more or less the oldest part of Gent, so it is logical eh. Keep up the good work, I love to follow you around this way! Vivian

The names of your pubs are probably historic to the nth degree and some of the newer establishments are quite creative in their selection of a business name. It makes for a good album with great pictures. Jim in Hurricane, Utah, USA

Hi Jayne, How are you keeping? Hope your cold is better now. Have been taking a look at this lovely album. For some reason its one I haven't seen before and I've never really taken any notice of pub signs before but there are some very pretty ones about. I love the last one of the dog. Maybe one day I will find something i enjoy taking and make a collection of them. I love the way you do that with various things. Post Boxes ect. Heard we are in for a nice wk end so going to try to get out on Sunday, possibly to the New Forest. Have a lovely weekend Jayne. Take Care. Love Chesca. xxxx

Hi Jayne, my guess is that you'll never be short of subjects for this album given the number of pubs in the UK!!! Thanks for your visit of my Machu Pichu album. To answer your questions, I was there in January and the photos were taken around mid-morning. I spent the night in Agua Calientes which is below Machu Pichu and caught the bus up in the morning to meet the rest of my tour group who had walked the Inca Trail - something I would have loved to have done, but unfortunately my poor body wasn't up for the challenge. When I arrived, we couldn't see much in the distance because of the clouds, but wow ... just seeing it amid the clouds and then as the clouds dissipated, the ruins and land beyond came slowly into view ... magical! cheers, sharon

Dear Jayne, I love all the pub signs you have photographed. They are so typically British! I was always intrigued by them when I was visiting in Britain. I was particularly taken by "The Snooty Fox" in Chester. It really caught my fancy. You have captured many original signs and your photography makes them very clear. Many thanks! Best wishes, Judith, from Australia.

Good Morning Jayne, The signs say it all unique British Pub signs, and at this time of the year the pubs have all there splendid flower pots on show, I really do believe that they get better and better each year, a far cry from the old beer swilling, sawdust pewter mugs days of yore. Hope you are well and enjoying all this fine weather, at least klast weekend you had some downpours for you garden, we did not get more than a few drops, but never mind, I havwe four water butts scattered about the garden. Do take care and good hunting, big hugs, Ken #####

What an beautiful album!!! I would like to comment on each photo but decided against. I don't want to jam your mailbox. These pub names are amazing. Some are obvious but some as "Six Ashes" and "Snickleway" tickle my imagination very much. And those paintings as "The last Drop Inn". And then there is the "Three Horseshoes". I read one pup called this belonged to Mary Read before she got one of the most famos female pirates roaming the Caribbean...Is it the same pup? Sorry for not being around lately. I'll make up for it. Greetings from the Caribbean, Heidi
