An album to linger over! More wonderful photos of another beautiful city that again holds happy memories for us. So glad you included a visit to the Cathedral - are you allowed to take pics inside? My grandson told us that in several of the Cathedrals and palaces they visited photos were not allowed. Hugs, Peter

Hi Jayne, Wow, I don't remember Salisbury being that colourful. Come to think of it I seem to remember England so vaguely now that it is all Black and White. Thanks for putting the colour back. Love and Hugs Chris Charlie and Jay

Hi Jayne it was with great joy that I viewed the pictures of Salisbury. So the Catheral is still under construction!?!? Years ago my wife and I contributed by etching a diamond shaped glass to be included in the spiral. My sister-in-law lived close by in Saftsbury, just down the hill from Gold Hill. (The best picture we ever saw of Gold Hill was one my wife took.)Stonehenge was also close. My Sister-in-law and her family certainly have lived in great places in England. They now live in your neck of the woods. My wife visits annually. When my wife and her sister get together now, their favorite activity is shopping in Birmingham. I enjoyed your photos of Lichfield as well. You have given me an education on your mailboxes. I file that under "I didn't know that". Since I am unable to get around, seeing your pictures make me feel as if I were there again. Thanks for making my day a bright one.---Harold

Hi Jayne, What a great album! It's like stepping back in time. The streets are quaint and charming and the cathedral is majestic. I don't know why, but I always associated medieval with Romanesque and the cathedral is far too light, airy, and Gothic to be Romanesque. I was pleasantly surprised to hear from you so soon. I expected you far from the nearest computer with a camera in one hand and demitasse of espresso in the other. Listen, I'm anxiously awaiting your pictures of the Eternal City. Greetings from a steamy Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you Jayne for your very wind words on my Utah album.

When I returned to my home country, England, after 38 years, my dear Uncle (my late Father's brother) took me to Salisbury Cathedral. My camera broke and I lost the photos I took. Thanks for this wonderful recompense! @

Dear Jayne, I promised myself that I would return to browse through your Salisbury album, and it's up to standard as usual. I am particularly interested in Salisbury as my grandmother was born there, as were her ancestors. I remember the cathedral and feel that it is such a beautiful structure architecturally. I never tire of looking at the intricate carvings. I also loved St. Thomas Beckett church and the converted chapel. The bright floral displays are very appealing too. This is a beautiful album. Thanks so much for sharing. Love and best wishes, Judith.
